Sounds like you are about to become a man. Congrats!
Seriously though, I'm still driving my B4000 after 21 years. Take good care of her and she will reciprocate.

Wells Fargo being out of commission today is really fouling my work.
In retrospect, I really regret posting this here. Sorry, all.
My day:
Gym well before dawn, need to lose weight.
Yogurt and a banana for breakfast, need to lose weight.
Soup and salad for lunch, need to lose weight.
Check internet before heading to Atlanta for healthy restaurants, need to lose weight.
Get to hotel, has free wine for an hour on the incredible rooftop bar absolutely georgeous sunset and nice warm day.

“Calories, schmalories. I’ll think about it tomorrow. After all, tomorrow is another day.”
Innocuousness is in the eye of the post reader?
I've been posting more in LTE than ymm, beer for a while now. My waistline appreciates it.
Woke up to empty sacks of Krystal’s strewn about the hotel room. Something bad happened last night, I fear.
Our February summer has been ushered out, rather unceremoniously.
My strawberry Pop-tart does not have enough frosting on it.
Anybody need anything hauled?
Wells Fargo is still not working properly.
Yippeeeee! Yippeeee!
Yay!!!!!
Whoop whoop whoop!
Speaking of rooftop bars/restaurants, when you are very afraid of heights, open air, rooftop restaurants are not the best choice. Went to one on Montreal last August. Great food that I didn't really get to eat because of a panic attack. I was OK until they pulled the awning back.
No rest for the weary.
No country for old men.
No shoes no shirt no service
Sigh, now I have to watch Vandy...
That was fun.
Yes!!!
Now I have to push away from this screen and get some fresh air.
NEXT!!!!
I need to push away from the table more often.
UUuuuuuugh. Here we go again. Who actually didn't guess correctly? We all easily figured it out.
Every silver lining has a cloud...
If only I knew today what I knew yesterday.......
I was so much older then;
I'm younger than that now.

Can anyone tell me what time it is? I seem to have misplaced my watch.
So, um, anyone else stay up late this evening?
Yes.
Unbelievable.
Yep, the stick shift is not for me. Can't wait to get the title in the mail in a few weeks so I can get rid of it:cool:
I'm currently driving a manual. Well, not currently.
Currently, I'm typing on a keyboard while sitting at my desk.
But I drove to work in a manual transmission automobile.
;)
It has been 10 years or so since I gave up my manual tranmission. I don't reach for the clutch very often now but I do still miss it.
Happy Valentine's Day you WINNERS!!!! :o
I have mastered the straight drive.
Was in the Big D most of the day. My commitments helped me do two things:
1) miss Vandy men's b-ball lose their umpteenth game in a row
2) put me back on the road home in time to catch Duke-NC State on satelite radio
And I got to see a lot of cars.
Whoa Nelly the Daytona crash!!!
Not really a race fan either but it was all over news last night.
It's truly remarkable to see what safety innovations and science have wrought.
Gee, I don't get to use wrought very often...
Wrought on Weezie....wrought on
What hath Weezie wrought?
I'm so honored!
Sigh, another Vandy loss.
The black cat is back!!! I've been worried about them. I haven't seen them in two months, but they were sitting on the fence when I went to fill the food and water this evening.
PS I've been the proud pet parent to 3 black cats. If you believe they are bad luck, you are listening to old tales of specious value. In Asian cultures, black cats are good luck and being half Japanese myself, I believe they are correct on this issue.
Woof.
Rough morning.
I don't think I like myself when we play that team. I really wanted to see a ball blocked right into the face of one of their players.
And what is with the ridiculous excuse for a beard on Luke Maye? I'm not sure I understand that look. OK - I am sure - I understand that it's not attractive.
My head still hurts.
As long as Jessica Alba doesn't come calling I will be a married man this evening :o
Wow matty!!!
Lucky Mrs.-to-be-matty! Some lovely news at last!
Way to go, Matt!
Hopefully Jessica Alba didn't call.
We need some pictures!
-jk
Happy first day of being married, Mr. & Mrs. Mattman! May it be the first of many wonderful years together.
Is is just me but when I see the occasional AOC headline, I think, this is awesome that Alex is getting this much press for his game last night?
I thought we had also done away with the sports as battle mataphors also.
Thanks!
Sorry it took a while to respond. We eloped at the courthouse. Actually, it was the magistrates office at the county lockup - so romantic. We are having a reception next Saturday (poor planning, right in the middle of the Duke/Miami game ). We decided to forgo a wedding and instead put money/energy/planning into our honeymoon, which will hopefully be in Rome this May.
I don't have a lot of pictures, but I do have a few engagement photos. Maybe I'll post those here later :o
Jessica's loss...
Congrats Mattman!!!!!
In other news, I received a raise and promotion today
OK, I'm finished hogging the LTE spotlight.
Making us proud matty!
Some Bodaggit hit a gas line so our office has no heat this morning.
75 degrees here yesterday but cooling off over the next week.
Not much of a drinker during the week (and please, no cracking wise about the weekend!) but these games are giving me hangovers.
Our area may be setting a record for the number of days schools are cancelled. Freezing drizzle this morning so no school.
Appreciation for the LTE. When you feel like drop kicking a yapping fool into the ether...
Let's go out there and have a super duper Thursday!!!
Okay, I’ll go first. I’m dropkicking a few of the fellow Vandy alums who post at a particular site. Topic of discussion: men’s b-ball. This team is bad enough that there can’t be any non-alum fans left.
That's very thoughtful YMo. I shall speak for the silent masses here, we support you and stand with you.
What?! Has the rapture taken all you LTEers up and left me here to carry the sack of worthlessness?!
I'm at 2,929 and counting...
Neighbor shoveled our shared driveway this morning. Always interesting to see steam rising off the driveway when it is 14 degrees out.
Did shovel my front walk. The way the wind blew, I had 4-18 inches and my other neighbor had about an inch.
Awful day. Positive vibes needed.
Bit of a sore throat this morning. Worried a cold might be coming.
I think today might be the day to burn my red shirt.
I wear my red shirts on Friday.
https://remembereveryonedeployed.org/
That's very cool Ymo! Never knew about the red shirt.
I was at Arlington Cemetery last Friday. What a majestic, monumental place. Everything slows down and life looks so much more precious.
Being a veteran and working for a large veteran owned organization, I get to see many reminders of the heroic sacrifices made on behalf of our great nation. It is often humbling. What struck me about Arlington when I was there years ago was as you note the stillness. Every motion/movement takes on extra emphasis.
It is very humbling to be there.
You may have hear this before but, if not, here is Trace Adkins singing Arlington. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJO7lJIxG10
Thanks for sharing that DiK.
I knew not to do it . . . but did it anyway. So there.
Oops -- I did it again.
So, you've gotten your sexy back?
So a somewhat heavy topic for the LTE. I’ll use an example. Alex Trebek announced he had Stage 4 pancreatic cancer and that he plans to beat it. Alex is 78 years old. One stat said 91% of those diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer succumb to the disease within 5 years.
My question is this, what constitutes beating it?
Short answer: remission.
Long answer: you either fight for life or succumb to death. He is choosing to fight for life. It is a personal decision with no right answer. (I have known folks in si liar situations who did not want to go through chemo, and were “ready to meet the Lord” so just rolled with it). It’s really as much a statement of attitude as it is of expected result.
Oh gosh, everybody is so bummed today for Alex Trebek. Such a terrifying scourge of a disease. :(
We laid to rest one of my dear aunts today. She passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning at her home just 6 days before her 65th birthday. I've experienced such a rollercoaster of emotions the past few days. My family and I were fortunate to see her Saturday during my wedding reception and had a great conversation with her before she left. The next day, she was gone. I've felt numb since hearing the news, and I still can't believe it now.
She is one of the reasons I became a Duke fan when I was a small child. She was a graduate of Gardner Webb, but loved her Blue Devils. She would never watch the games because she would get too nervous, so she would always ask my mom if Duke won. After Tuesday night's game, I totally understand why...
Cherish the times you have with your loved ones, folks.
Sorry to hear. Condolences.
Sorry for your loss matty. Thinking of you!
Sorry for your loss mattman. It was nice you were able to visit with her on Saturday, but that does make the suddenness of Sunday more pronounced.
Well!!!
Pretty quiet here in the old rumpus room. Everybody getting their Spring Forward jam on?
Sweet. It's raining again, too. Ok, then! Night night!
Sigh, lost an hour of sleep over basketball. Ahh, spring forward you say?
Pumice stone was the answer. Who knew?
Actually, I use a pumice stone to get hard water rings off tubs or around stainless steel faucets. I hope that was in the general vicinity of your discovery post. Or it may have been in reference to your latest pedicure.
Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner? I'd been monkeying around with various chemicals to take care of them with middling to no success. I greatly prefer the few minutes of scrubbing to sitting and waiting.
No callouses on these feet in years.
DST is gonna take some internal adjusting in the morning . . . .
Nephew Sam surface in Japan - it was great to get a brief text from him.
Starting PT tomorrow to rehab from my 2nd hip surgery in 2 years. Wish me luck LTE.
Go get 'em kmspeaks!
You can do this! Deep breaths! Go Go Go!
Ahhh, the beauty of no hard water ringed porcelain...
There is a cat hiding in my garage.
I've got big falcon that sits in a tree right off the kitchen patio. Tell that cat to watch out.
Is it Wednesday? How is that possible?
BiL has surgery today. Any spare vibes and prayers you can send out to Kansas are greatly appreciated.
Adding my good wishes. Hope he's up and about asap!
Thank you. Unfortunately, chemo/radiation is the next step. The options were total removal of the bladder or partial removal with chemo/radiation. They went for the less invasive treatment. His goal is to ride his bike in the Kansas Senior Olympics - hopefully this fall but next fall for sure.
<<<{{{((([[[ vibes ]]])))}}}>>>
Hurting myself eating wasabi peas, don’t care who know it.
1) DiK - Vibes to your BiL.
2) Wasabi peas are fine going down, it’s the later that I’d worry about.
3) Sitting in an airport, we’ll see how well Wi-fi on the plane works out.
Wi-fi worked just fine. Now, how to get the family outing wrapped up in time for tonight's game.
Off to Six Flags?! Or maybe a fun run to Costco?
Ohh, yes the tvs. And the food sample scrums.
And pick up one of these:https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hellmanns-R.../dp/B00596S7W8
I have accumulated enough animal shaped stress balls on my desk to open a zoo.
Good grief...I needed a nap today!
