^^^ Ugh. It stinks that we are being shoved into this mode so early, too.
But, at least it isn't election related. THAT was some serious torture, right there...

Apparently, I'm doing it wrong...
Hmmm, I'm hungry.
I think I will allow the husband to take me out for Mexican food tonight. He's had a long day and I'm worth it.
Herbs, peppers and veggies planted today. Gorgeous weather. Love this time of year.
Just a little sunburn action here...
Why do I always check in here before doing any actual work? I mystify myself. I am ridiculous.
Got a random call from an Army recruiter today. Strange.
Yummmm car mechanic coffee
Pet peeve time. I know I've read recently that two spaces after the period ending a sentence is unnecessary. However, are zero spaces now an acceptable answer also? I do know that when using my tablet that often my ability to use the space bar goes away. In other words, I can tap the virtual key but nothing happens. Maybe more people experience this than I realized?
I'm probably the wrong person to ask, but I completely agree with you. Punctuation exists for a reason, and those reasons are being ignored and eradicated as of late.
It's a good thing I don't have kids, because I'm certain they would be mortified with the way I execute my text messages; with capitalization, punctuation, and sometimes paragraph breaks.
Mississippi State
Did not see that coming...
Those of us who live and work in Atlanta are preparing for many months of the "longest commute ever".
Ugh!
I heard they already have a contingency plan.

When the Santa Monica Freeway collapsed (or, at least, four overpasses on it) during the Northridge earthquake of January 1994, there was a high-priority effort to get this freeway back in service. With special incentives for the contractor and streamlining the government approval process, repairs and construction were completed in 74 days, about one-half of the five month estimate in the project plan. BTW, it was all federal money [hint, hint].
Really dreading work tomorrow.
Hell, yea!

Whatever he said ^^^
Can I banish the Tar Heels to Hell? If so, I accept!
And we need a Steely Dan version of the National Anthem. Let's make that happen.
Can we use this version until such time as Steely Dan lays down their track?

Sigh, not a good way to start the week.
Yeah, that 6:00am workout today really sounded like a great idea last Friday. All funsy and neato but now I'll be staggering through the rest of the day in a stupor.
Family > work.
I hope you all believe that. I know of a "leader" that will find this out tomorrow morning.
It may be time for the piano man to sing us a song tonight...
When you think about it just about anything > work. Except maybe paying taxes and jail and kicking the bucket. They are < than work.
TGIF! And good luck matty-man!
Hello weekend!
Masters Week = Spring Break here every year. Love it.
Every time I see the I'm going to run a Masters pool thread, I think, http://www.usms.org why run in the pool when you could swim?
Breakfast:
Make usual crepe recipe (egg, flour, milk, pinch o salt) but cook in a normal small nonstick pan sorta thick so it's like Na'an bread. Tough of butter for coloring on the pand first. Higher temp than usual.
After flipping, fill with feta, leftover lamb (cubed), spinach, grilled eggplant, grilled artichoke, grilled sundries tomatoes, chopped dates. Fold.
Mmmmmmmmmm.
Only the dog and I are up, everyone else sacked out. Cup of hot Earl Gray loose tea. Small glass of spicy V8.
Ready to tackle the day. Supposed to be a beautiful Sunday here!!
I'd like that order ^^^ without the eggs please. What's the total? I'm at the drive thru window...
Just one egg in the batter, not sure what to substitute.
Free to a good home.
Starting a chocolate and blueberry crepe for OPKson, who decided to get out of bed a bit before noon. (OPKdaughter made her own and is been up at the lake; great day for it).

At Hot Springs, NC about to soak with Mrs. Devil. Perfect day for this, too.
I'll be leaving church shortly, making a run to Costco for church coffee supplies, then a few chores at home and off to work. I have put off working on Sunday's so far but can't do it again. I wonder if I won Powerball last night?
Thankfully, no flights scheduled in the near future.
Bought a new lawnmower. Investment in my future.
Big rear wheels on that lawnmower? I don't have nearly the slope, but do have some and realize now I should have gotten a lawnmower with big rear wheels. It is self-propelled, so there is that.
Anybody else have a brother-in-law who's a complete, posturing jerk with a big mouth who needs to be walloped with the broadside of a shovel?
Yes, Mr. -jk, the judges will accept your answer.
The category is "Shows Utter Gall" and all answers in double Jeopardy will consist of "who is weezie's brother in law"
I've never seen weezie upset, but guessing that a bad day for Mr. BIL may be a-brewin'.
My list would be:
Rich (college)
Coach Bob (college)
Devil In The Blue Dress (several football games -- the hostess with the mostest)
devildeac (several football games)
August West (briefly - tailgate)
CB&B (even briefly-er - tailgate -- he was cooking and we just said "hi")
sagegrouse (South Bend)
straygator (South Bend)
nmduke2001 (El Paso Sun Bowl)
BIL and nephew lurk, not sure if they post.
Sorry if I missed anyone, coffee hasn't taken yet.
There's nothing to see here, weezie passes in a crowd.
Devildeac, fuse, mountaindevil, ricks68, and loveninja.
Hopefully get to meet more one day!
I've met a few people here...
I find I am rather terrified of tomorrow's to do list. Spring has most assuredly sprung here at Castle weezie. I'm very not excited by what needs to get done.
Folks I've met IRL? I'll forget some, I'm sure.
Ymo, Ozzie, wilson, TillyGalore, DevilinaBlueDress, AncientPsychicT, CB&B, duke84, -jk, a few others whose posting names I don't recall at the moment.
Give peace a chance...
Apparently, I like dogs with bunny ears...
The last two posts are no good without pictures.
I nned to find the pictures of a friend's VW Rabbit when we turned itni to the Easter bunny on Easter morning.
About 5-6 pics so far in my FB feed.
Almost 2 days since the last post.
Maybe it is Peanut Butter Jelly time?
Should I post my Marathon race report here too? (I posted on FB. It's long.)
I'll give it it's own thread.
Not everything is working correctly tonight.
Should we stick a fork in this thread? Is it done?
No, of course not! Spring is jumping! I, for one, have been gleefully ordering my husband/yardman/fixit guy around in much the same fashion as Patton's march, albeit without the slapping but maybe a little teasing.
If I weren't so adorable, he'd be very tired of me.
Oh and, Happy Shakespeare's Birthday!
He draweth out the thread of his verbosity finer than the staple of his argument. Love's Labors Lost, Act V, Scene 1
Happy birthday, William!
Happy anniversary, me!
Happy Anny Mt Dev. And to Mrs. Mt. Dev. I hope she received a lovely, sparkling gift from her eternally grateful and lucky husband.

Does this work, weez?
It's pink, a lovely color, and very bubbly. :o
I often tell Mrs. OPK that my lovely, sparkling wit is a present in and of herself.
She usually replies that it's a good thing she likes surprises, because disappointment is a special form of surprise.
Never a dull moment in the OPK household.
What's better than trying on a pair of last year's cute linen shorts that were, ahem, a teensy bit too tight last summer and discovering that that are now a full size too big?!!!
I'll tell ya'...puling out a clean washed $20 bill from the pocket!
I have won the Thursday lottery in my head!!!
Will be working on another short film this weekend. Shooting blank rounds at real people is almost as fun as shooting live rounds at targets
My friend David is the director, so I guess him. It is for the annual My Rode Reel competition.
Here is his submission from last year that I appeared in (only 3 mins long).
https://youtu.be/Gv-GsxA-va8
He does like things that go bang bang...
I'm coming at you from some experience in stage combat - you do know that even when you are firing blanks you should never, ever, ever point a gun at an actual person - right? There are actual laws in theater about gun usage. Even if you have a fake gun that could never even be loaded let along fired, it is against the law to point it at an audience member. We had a prop gun like that in the last show I worked on. Our stage had seating on three sides, we had to have a fight choreographer stage the bit where the gun got pulled out at the end of Act II so that no audience member would be in the sight lines of the gun. I'm kind of nutty about prop gun safety.
May the Fourth be with you. Always.
Most amazing thing I have seen in ages...
I dare you not to watch all of it.
https://youtu.be/NYD3QtyEGGM
I didn't watch it all...
Booking travel for work is an exhausting process.
Yay for spending 3 days in the middle of nowhere Iowa.
DinK makes killer gravy. Worth the detour.
I will put ketchup on anything potato based.
Watched "Sully" on HBO last night. Once again, utterly amazing Tom Hanks saves the day.
I've heard these folks brews excellent ales:

Oops. sorry, wrong thread. ;)
How tall is everyone?
I am 5'11 - a gentleman's 6 foot, or 6'3 before my NBA combine measurements.
6' 1"
7'1" in my dreams.
6'4" and bulletproof when drunk. Oh, and I sing well too.
Shade over 6'.
6'1 205lbs *ding*
5'9" Yep!
Vacation starts tomorrow with a 6am flight!
I see that there have been 18,955 posts in this thread, and approaching 1 million views. Is there any way to determine the number of separate posters? That might be interesting.
2,224? That's it? It should be much higher.
I'm the proverbial lazy dog...
Yeah, I've been resting on my laurels way too much.
Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there!
Please. Make. This. Stop.
I attribute the recent uptick in yammering foolishness to the off the charts amounts of pollen in the air this spring. People are bat guano crazy.
Mojo rising!
Mojo Nixon!
"The crickets and cicadas sing
a rare and different tune;
Terrapin Sta-a-a-tion."
-- Jerry
(Great, now I'll have a 15 minute tune in my head. Gotta go end to end, or it starts all over. I should probably see someone about that)
PLEASE. Make. This. Stop.
950 pages in and we're attracting new people. Gotta love that.
Stuck in NYC for the night. Hooray for an extra day off work.
The city that never sleeps...
