We’ll have 15 at the table. I have an 18-pound turkey and I’m doing a 7-pound breast in the Big Green Egg. I’m also in charge of dressing, cranberries, and mac & cheese. My wife makes the rolls. Everything else is divvied up by family branch.
5 for dinner tomorrow. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, broccoli, rolls, and cranberry sauce. Still deciding what to make for dessert because the kids don't really like pumpkin pie. I'm thinking of trying a coconut poke cake. I need to make up my mind in the next hour or so cause I'll need to make one more trip to the grocery store once I do.
The best Christmas movie, by far, is Casablanca. The only problem with that one being at the top of the list is that it's probably only considered a Christmas movie at my house.
If mac and cheese can become a Thanksgiving staple, I figure I can start a campaign to make everyone consider Casablanca a Christmas movie. Winter Wonderland and Let It Snow are songs with lyrics that have nothing to do with Christmas, so, it's possible.
I'm fine with any Christmas tune as long as it doesn't have Pa Rum Pa Pum Pum in it. That one's a downer.
I'm in charge of pies and making gravy.
Thinking of pumpkin, bourbon pecan, cranberry apple streusel, Reese's mousse, and a vegan pumpkin. May skip one of them.
