I have a trip to Duck scheduled for next July.

I posted this on the "other" thread, but it seemed to get immediately lost among yammering. My neighbor's grandmother voted early yesterday. Not terribly unique, except that she just turned 101 and was born before women had the right to vote. Yesterday, she voted for a woman for president (to keep this nonpartisan, I won't tell you which one). The passage of time is truly amazing.
Also, her granddaughter posted live video on FB and it has over 4,000 hits.
I thought it was a ray of optimism in the midst of a truly depressing political season.
Spent last weekend in Pittsburgh. Went by the family homesteads from the 2 times the family lived there. I only lived there twice. Met the current owner. He was leaving as we all piled out of the van. I thought he might wonder why 5 strangers were standing there looking at his house so went up to talk to him. We got pictures of the 3 sisters on the porch and then wandered all around the outside of the house - with his permission.
This made me smile to imagine your marauding bunch of citizens putting the neighborhood on alert. He sounds like a nice, if slightly alarmed man!
Agreed, our Primante's experience was also rather blah. Too much bread up in there. I'll bet the stadium steaks at any of the ballparks are far superior.
Happy to hear that the cake was good. I could eat a big old slab of cake any time of day.
I need to get out more...
I'm probably being petty in another thread.
Getting wings tonight, at what I consider, one of the two-best wings places in the city. Today is a good day.

So, Corollas have a matronly reputation at least compared to their main competition, the Civic.
