I have a new core support for it, but that will be a 3 day job probably. And I really need more space to tackle it. Really need to get the Skylark into the body shop.

That '69 T/A really would be a nice addition.

Bur I really should hold out for the '69 Judge.

So, when did burning benches become a permitted activity?
Ten players got 5 or more minutes of playing time. Who would have thunk it?
The Muppet Movie turned 40 last year.
Foggy morning here, but supposed to get up to around 60 and sunny. Great day for a long walk with a new audiobook or podcast.
I was watching some of "Chariots of Fire" on HBO this morning, speaking of going back and watching things you loved when you were young. It's certainly not the worst movie ever to win Best Picture.
I finally went over and read some of what's going on with the beer drinkers. They are definitely trying to overtake this thread. The wankers.
Of course, it's the kind of friendly competition that harms no one, unlike a lot of other stuff.
I have 5 posts in the beer thread. None since 2008.
I don't think I can go back and delete them now, can I?
But for 5 posts, it hardly seems worth it.
My husband likes to have PopTarts for breakfast. Yes, still. For a long time he would keep a box of unfrosted strawberry around.
Lately, he has switched to unfrosted blueberry. I don't particularly like blueberry PopTarts, frosted or unfrosted.
There might be a correlation. (Yes, I would occasionally have an unfrosted strawberry one.)
Post 25025 was about PopTarts. But not a palindrome.
Wondering how Baby Bundaberg enjoyed his first Duke-Carolina game.
Recently I collected all of the one minute plays I have written to send them to a friend who uses them in the acting class he teaches. Yes, the One Minute Play Festival is a real thing. I've written for the Boston production of the festival. https://www.oneminuteplayfestival.com/
Titles of my plays include:
Lover's Quarrel
A Penny For Your Thoughts
Learning Lines
Philosophy 101
Goofballs
I Just Can't
Unintended Consequences
Communications Major
Lucky Hat
Know, Not Think
I Got Nothing
Cliff Diving
and (it might not make it through the filter)
Bitch Pants
And now it's time to go make myself a cup of tea. Perhaps I'll decide that maybe I do like blueberry PopTarts after all.
If I do, I suspect I will regret that decision.
I had a ROFLMAO momemt yesterday when I finally did that. Now in that light, a couple posts here made more sense. And then I LMAO, thinking that anyone here thought I cared what they did regarding posting. The icing on the cake was last night when DD posted that Bush song.
I could use a PopTart.
So, I didn't make my usual January trip to Las Vegas. Thinking I might enter one of the smaller buy-in WSOP events. Bad idea?
I do miss DevilAlumna.
He friggin' loved it! Mommy asked me if I wanted to hold him with about a minute left in regulation and I said, "that probably wouldn't be a good idea". Good thinking on my part since I rocketed out of my chair and jumped up and down laughing like an idiot not long after.
Thanks for asking!
Does anyone have solar? Pros and cons? Federal tax credits are dropping over the next could years. Last year was actually the best time IMHO to have gotten one, but I just couldn't pull the trigger.
June 8th also, low dollar entry PLO.
I enjoy this thread for the people and randomness, and not whether it actually is the longest thread. I usually don’t read the beer thread just because I’m really a wine and spirits kind of guy. But if the posters there are fixated on passing this one, so be it. Not on my list of real world worries.
Enjoy who you are, not the titles you have.
Probably not. Stage actors are touchy about unauthorized postings of their work. If any video images exist, they are probably the property of the OMPF (One Minute Play Festival), but, if you are interested in reading any of them, I could send you a copy of the script. (None are longer than a page.)
This is more the crowd here:

Okay, maybe not, LOL.
And now that we are onto post 25052, I will discuss PopTarts once again.
I rarely eat them nowadays, but, in honor of the momentous occasion of reaching 25052, I think I'll go buy some of the Cookies&Creme variety as a special treat.
Missed it by this much. ;)
(The video was more appropriate, thanks Ymo.)
Well, since I claim that the Boston Red Sox won a World Series after 86 years because I decided to have a 4th child, I'd say we're good.
Thanks, Ymo! You're the best!
Well, we can get there sooner rather than later.
Ordering from my table using an app for the first time in my life. Definitely better than standing in line.
25073 is a prime number and ripe for the taking.
Anyone have a mopping robot for hard wood or tile floors?
So, they are quaratining people returning from China at a nearby Air Force base. Not sure how to feel about that. I will wash my hamds more often. :p
Any Seattle recommendations by chance? Spent the afternoon doing a deep dive online.
I last lived in Seattle '94. For 3 years I traveled there quarterly for meetings. Mainly went to places around the old Safeco Tower. But it has been 8 years.
Watching Gemini Man on Blu-ray. The camera view is weird. It isn't a TV view but it doesn't really feel like a typical adataption from a standard movie camera production.
So many dead bodies...
Tons of stuff to do in and around Seattle so I'll throw out a coupe of themes ---
If you like music (the kind Seattle is famous for)...
You can hit up London Bridge Studio for a tour, the unofficial memorial park near where Cobain used to live, Jimi Hendrix is buried in Renton. There are a few music museums I've never visited. Catch a show at the Showbox or any other number of Seattle music venues. Tons of interesting music spots. Pike's Market will appear elsewhere but Soundgarden's Spoonman was inspired by a street performer at Pike's. I'm sure there are music-specific tours you could take that would hit all these spots.
If you like nature...
Do something on the water. Even if it's just a water taxi ride, try to do something that gets you a view of the Olympic Mountains. Better yet, go see them and OlympiacNational Park --- it's on the far side but Hoh is a rainforest and it's damn cool. Bainbridge Island, an Orca tour up into the San Juans. Pop out to Mt. Rainier over to the Snoqualmie Valley and see Snoqualmie Falls. Not sure if they'll be blooming in March but Snoqualmie Valley is where a lot of the flowers for the city markets are grown. Very pretty area when in bloom.
If you like corporate stuff...
You can visit Microsoft, do a tour, and arrange for a tour of the Boeing factory. Both are cool.
If you like city tourist stuff...
Seattle underground takes you to some old basements, good for history BUT it's not like a European city underground tour so don't expect that. There are Seattle ghost tours, etc.
On food, I'll just say to go visit and eat at Pike's. Winter is also great time of year for local seafood. Lots of shellfish and crustaceans are being harvested so, if you like that sort of thing, find some spots serving right-out-of-the-water-that-morning seafood and chow down. Yeah, yeah, the first starbucks and crap. Plenty of wine, breweries, that sort of thing.
That's what I got for now.
Thanks! Would spork, but apparently I'm not allowed :(
Cold and rainy - welcome to the work week
Hannibal Lecter: No. We begin by coveting what we see every day.
Seattle summer isn’t much different from Boston summer. Except that you have to wait for the morning cloud cover to burn off in Seattle.
It's raining right now in the Boston area. We have had very little snow this year. I've probably just jinxed it.
Summer in San Antonio lasts about 16 weeks. The heat turns on after Memorial Day and doesn’t turn off until early October. The issue I have is basically it is the same forecast for 90+ days straight.
This one seems pretty good.

I heard someone describe New Hampshire's weather as "nine months of winter, and three months of not-very-good sledding." Made me chuckle.
Here in Georgia, we have four seasons -- Summer, football, rain, and pollen.
Large Garden Fresh from Papa John’s...
I kind of like ground hogs and don’t mind them living on my property. My neighbors think that’s weird.
What is the difference between a gopher and a ground hog?
I feel like there's a punchline coming...
...different family of species but fall under the same order: rodentia. Ground hogs are in the marmot family, gophers are a different family.
You're not the first to ask. Now, just don't ask which came first.
Just had the second strongest handshake of my life.
Dated a chiropractor's daughter in high school. I remember her telling me he hated limp handshakes. Valuable life lesson that first meeting was. Taught me the way to give proper handshake and also put the fear if God in me. She never missed her curfew, obviously.
I prefer a strong handshake and have on a few occasions was concerned that I had broken the other person’s hand.
Blessed are the cheesemakers!
That feeling when you realize winter isn't over.
Thought I'd post this publicly rather than a private message. OPK has now read my (award-winning) play about the rivalry, "Almost Made in Heaven". I mailed a copy of it to Coach K a few years ago. He sent me a thank you email telling me that he loved the ending. Not only is he the GOAT, but he can laugh at himself.
Serenity now, serenity now!
Found a rebroadcast of Saturday's game this afternoon. Although the angle was different, I kept think that Wendell was channeling his inner Lo Charles.
We are allowed to discuss basketball here - right? We don't have to take it to the EK Board or anything.
Speaking of things that are also discussed in other threads, I got home from rehearsal last night in time to the Oscar for Best Costume Design. I missed Brad Pitt though.
Best in Show tomorrow. God, I hope a terrier doesn’t win again.
Okay, weird dream.
I was watching a film on something, not sure what. Then a short came on, and it was introduced as a film by Saul Bellow. Then I woke up.
Saul Bellow is a name I have heard years ago, but had no real idea who he was. In my half-asleep state I think I thought he was Sal Mineo, who I vaguely remembered as being an actor. So I googled Saul Bellow and went back to sleep. Did not check it though until just now after coming back from the gym.
Really really random. Cannot think of anything that would have triggered that name, didn’t really know who he was (ashamed to say).
Long/short: So now I need to read a book by Bellow, and re-watch Rebel Without a Cause.
Birds have been out in full throat the last two weeks. Looking at a male robin out of the window right now, checking out my parsley for some reason.
You can trust me. You don't have to, but you can.
I wish I lead a dog’s life...
I am profoundly ignorant of pop culture. For example, watching the Oscars, I was unfamiliar with most of the presenters and I only recognized Elton John and Randy Newman of the musical performers. Sadly, the memorial portion rang more of a bell.
No beer (weight-loss mode). I had some mildly spicy chili right before game time, but this was 3:55 in the morning so shouldn't be a relationship.
How does a random name like Saul Bellow -- a guy I don't even know and haven't even heard of in decades -- suddenly pop up? It's not like I ever had a conscious impression of him in the first place let alone one lurking in the subconscious.
But one thing I now know for certain -- I'm not gong to bother to read one of his books. Even if it is the great beyond and my subconscious Id trying to send me a message. Nope, ain't gonna do it. The subconscious wish fulfillment or latent content of the dream will forever remain a riddle, wrapped up in an enigma, ensconced on a bed of bacon.
In my family, it is a sure fire ribbing offense to crack oneself up and be called out on it.
Direct questioning of your awareness of and motives for cracking yourself up immediately ensue.
It's still one of the bedrock principles of existence at the Palace of weezie, and yes, they got me today.
To start another project or not, that is the question.
More like a trip to the local junkyard.
Anyone ever been to to the Julian Alps in Slovenia? Eyeing a trip this May to Ljubljana with a few excursions in mind.
I miss the days of having a basement. I spent summers down there...
I’ve not been to anywhere in Europe since 1981. Bosses always took the European trips while I had to take the trips to South America.
I enjoyed it while it lasted.
TikTok?
Wet out there.
It is cold outside. We haven't even gotten back up to 9F yet.
Not bad here in SA.
Wet and 40 here in Amish country.
already 73 here. But a front is coming though today that will drop our highs to the upper 50's and lower 60's the next few days.
Bradford pears have been blooming for a week, pink dogwoods for close to three. Pollen season is just a final cold snap away.
Maybe I should get out of town for a few days?
Anyone have a zoetrope?
Flimflam phlegm phlagm.
Mishmash knish gnash.
Another successful liver conference is in the books.
Liver - it’s what’s for dinner?
Anyone interested in 15x7 Honeycomb rims?
My quiz bowl team won a big match this evening. 💪🏼
A Caffe Nero is going in within walking distance from my house. This makes me very happy.
Three Shake Shacks are coming to Indianapolis. I've had it three times before and enjoyed all three.
Nero fiddled while Rome burned...what is he likely to do with your coffee?
It’s a Valentine’s Friday. If you haven’t already made dining arrangements, good luck!
Anyone ever been to Prague?
Who knows? I certainly never will. I'm excited about the Caffe Nero (which is going in across the street from a Starbucks) because Caffe Nero sells good tea!!! (It better, it is a London based company. I first discovered it when I traveled to the UK in 2013.) I hate coffee. Starbucks only serves 2 things I like, hot chocolate and passionfruit iced tea. Their hot tea is substandard.
I wonder if the frequent buyers card I picked up the last time I visited London will be good at my local Caffe Nero. I'll have to find out.
Pest was larger. Buda seemed a bit more touristy, IIRC. Very hilly. Our Airbnb was off the beaten path in the Pest side, and was in the middle of a giant beer garden with different craft beer and chocolate bars. Best trip I've ever taken.
Would love to hear Luburch's opinion.
I certainly spent more time on the Pest side. It felt a little easier to get lost and absorb the culture there. Buda felt more open, but more crowded as well. So I'd lean Buda over Pest.
Regarding travel OPK, I didn't venture outside of the city much so I walked everywhere and didn't have any issues. I'm also comfortable walking 2-3 miles at a time and I know that doesn't work for everyone.
Thanks. I walk about 8 miles a day every Saturday and then on Sunday so walking is no issue. Mainly thinking of getting to/from the train station; there is no Uber and I understand it the taxi drivers have a Vegas-like ability to take the long way around. Thankfully, Apple Maps allows you to pick a public transportation option on its directions which works really well.
You're probably downloading the American version of the app. You need to download the version that sounds like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lzu8nEJvME
OPK, public transportation in Budapest is pretty good. We only needed a taxi from the airport. On the way back to the airport we had already mastered the bus/tram system. We used Google maps to figure out how to navigate the system.
The first few days we walked 8-10 miles per day (according to my wife's phone). Might not be a bad idea to walk a lot anyway. The beer is so cheap you will need to burn the extra calories!
