The Muppet Movie turned 40 last year.
Foggy morning here, but supposed to get up to around 60 and sunny. Great day for a long walk with a new audiobook or podcast.
I was watching some of "Chariots of Fire" on HBO this morning, speaking of going back and watching things you loved when you were young. It's certainly not the worst movie ever to win Best Picture.
I finally went over and read some of what's going on with the beer drinkers. They are definitely trying to overtake this thread. The wankers.
Of course, it's the kind of friendly competition that harms no one, unlike a lot of other stuff.
I have 5 posts in the beer thread. None since 2008.
I don't think I can go back and delete them now, can I?
But for 5 posts, it hardly seems worth it.
My husband likes to have PopTarts for breakfast. Yes, still. For a long time he would keep a box of unfrosted strawberry around.
Lately, he has switched to unfrosted blueberry. I don't particularly like blueberry PopTarts, frosted or unfrosted.
There might be a correlation. (Yes, I would occasionally have an unfrosted strawberry one.)
Post 25025 was about PopTarts. But not a palindrome.
Wondering how Baby Bundaberg enjoyed his first Duke-Carolina game.
Recently I collected all of the one minute plays I have written to send them to a friend who uses them in the acting class he teaches. Yes, the One Minute Play Festival is a real thing. I've written for the Boston production of the festival. https://www.oneminuteplayfestival.com/
Titles of my plays include:
Lover's Quarrel
A Penny For Your Thoughts
Learning Lines
Philosophy 101
Goofballs
I Just Can't
Unintended Consequences
Communications Major
Lucky Hat
Know, Not Think
I Got Nothing
Cliff Diving
and (it might not make it through the filter)
Bitch Pants
And now it's time to go make myself a cup of tea. Perhaps I'll decide that maybe I do like blueberry PopTarts after all.
If I do, I suspect I will regret that decision.
