I'll leave it at Jimmy Spanarkel number of posts away from 11,000.
Seriously, there have to be some sort of drugs, er, I mean medications out there that will at least help alleviate some of my symptoms.
Tried so far- works/doesn't work:
DayQuil- NO
Sudafed- NO
Tylenol- A LITTLE
Generic Antihistamine/Decongestant- NO
NyQuil- NO
This is SO not fun.
Wow did I scare everyone off? Were y'all afraid of getting sick? I never even started whining.
Amateurs.
Does one become a professional when they hit Tuva?
Good luck today folks crossing the 11,000 barrier. I'll be working all day and unable to post. (much):o. Kinda like I am now.:o:eek:
OK, now I'm back on track. x89 and x89
Good thing Devildeac is working and not posting this morning...
10991 and 2991.
Darn that 60 second wait! :D
2992 and 10992.
I actually have a sales forecast to get out this morning. Good thing it is for a west coast based company. That give me an extra 3 hours to geterdone!
10993 and 2993.
I think Ozzie has poster of the day all wrapped up.
Wow a lot of threads must've been cleaned up- I think I lost 10-20 posts overnight!
Yeah, check it out.
3 1/2 hours all alone... poor baby LTE.
I'm signing off to break down the computer for the move. Hopefully, I will have internet access by tomorrow.
Won't get to see the game today, but please DON'T cheer for me. Duke seems to do well when I don't watch or only half watch part of the game. Will be wearing maroon and orange today to support our team.
GO DUKE!!!
Write to you all soon.
Love,
Tilly
I've decided that it would be better for me to replace. IIRC, there's a tax credit for getting energy efficient appliances/furnaces, so I'd take advantage of that. Otherwise the seller would get the tax credit. Besides, my realtor got the impression that the seller is less than sympathetic about the age of the furnace.
Thanks for the advice. It's a gas furnace, and my realtor made a similar suggestion. If Laclede Gas doesn't say that it has to be replaced, we're going to require the seller to have it cleaned and serviced. I'll replace it before next winter. The seller said that Laclede Gas cleared it when they bought the condo last fall, so I can't imagine they'll do anything different this time around.
There is lots of time between now and the game...let the PW'ing begin?
Now for an original subject...cats got some open window time yesterday and are chasing leaves in front of the sliding glass door at the moment. How do I break it to them that we are getting 10-16" of snow in the next 52 hours? And that spring weather is still a few months away?
I can connect you with my jeweler. ;) They are very simple and small - rectangular sapphire with tiny diamond above and white gold bars on the sides. I'm wearing them today for luck. :D There is a matching necklace - I didn't get that. Perhaps a return trip to Colby is in my future.
I'll incorporate it into my screensaver. That way they'll see it next time they use the computer.
:D Snow! :D
It is snowing here. It is finally snowing. Can you tell I'm excited?
We need the moisture as we are behind for the year. I like snow - especially when I only have to drive to the office and home with no extra stops. :D
Four-wheel drive?
If this is to me - no, just front wheel drive. It is a short trip. I don't like to drive in snow so much - all those pesky other folks on the road. :D
I have put off looking for a new car until the chance of snow is pretty much gone this spring. Why risk snow accidents with a new car when I have a 13yr old car I can sacrifice.
And we aren't supposed to get your 10-16 inches of snow. Only 5-6 inches of snow predicted here.
(The 60 second this helped - I reworded the above to avoid some really interesting interpretations that struck me as I hit post.)
Everyone must be taking a lunch break. I guess I will also.
You should see all the cat hair I have to clean out of the keyboard...
All I do is give the keyboard a good shake every once in a while. I find it to be quite therapeutic.
I've done that. It's therapeutic for me but sometimes, not so much for the keyboard or computer. ;)
1. I'm listening to DBR Radio
2. While watching the GTown/Nova game
3. And reading the LTE
4. Which causes me to realize that the game is on DURING lunch tim
5. So I'm contemplating an early lunch.
Edit: Could've made this into 5 posts, but it would've taken 5 minutes. :(
I own exactly one sports jersey, Mike Vrabel's #50. I'm now depressed.
In theory, yes, but I don't like basketball jerseys, I like football jerseys, but Mike Vrabel was the only player that actually got me to buy one. Well, not even that, it's what I asked for for Christmas last year (2007).
I have tons of things that say Duke on them, mugs, hats, t-shirts, sweatshirts, shorts, sweatpants, you name it.
Well, we beat VA Tech. So, everyone can come out and start posting again!
1. Your name came up several times. Nothing good, of course:p
2. Just as I thought. I'm surprised KS didn't have a concussion, too, after the elbow he took to his head. Whineburg must spend a lot of time with Beamer as that's what his players look like for much of the time-the hokie FB team.
Seth's teams always play thug- uh I mean street ball. And he's always a big crybaby. Excuses, excuses.
Can he be fined for calling out the refs on the non-call on Jon's travel?
Note that K didn't call out the elbow to Singler (that I can recall).
Edit: When did this become the EK board?
In the spirit of bring this back to the LTE on the OTB again, I think I'm going to try to go to the store tomorrow. Need foodstuffs.
Tonight I may do some laundry.
Did you know that Ben & Jerry's employees get to take home 3 free pints PER DAY? I'm watching an ice cream special on tv right now and they just spotlighted B&J. Nice perk!
Have we had an ice cream thread? I don't remember.
OMG they just showed a place in NY called Max & Mina's that makes a beer & nuts ice cream. I kid you not. There's beer in the ice cream, then they mix nuts into it.
Time to pour a glass of wine and read my Sunday School lesson. Have a good night everyone.
I'm watching some show on the Travel Channel where a guy is going to attempt to eat 15 DOZEN oysters in 1 sitting. 180 oysters.
Good morning y'all. 8+ hours between posts? Where was the left coast hiding last night? Sue71's excused, she was still way sick last night. (Hope you're feeling better this morning!)
I was at the Boston Ballet last night.
And I'd like to respond that although technically I posted during the game, my cable provider had not yet switched from whatever game they were broadcasting to the Duke game at the time I posted. I was killing time waiting to be taken to Blacksburg, thank you very much.
Oh, oh, I was post 11,111.
Is it "The End of the World as We Know It" over there? Because I feel fine...
Y'all gonna make it back to Raleigh before it starts snowing and the roads get treacherous? It's just above freezing here and raining pretty good, but coming back from lunch I could swear I saw some solid stuff bouncing off the hood of the car as I was driving. You might get stuck down there longer that you want. Or not ;)!
All-wheel drive!
6 minutes away from 6 hours of abandonment.
Goodness - nearly 21 hours without a post?
I've been home sick today with a stomach bug - woke up about 3AM. :( Finally got back to sleep around 10AM, slept most of the rest of the afternoon.
Now watching Charleton Heston in "The Hawaiians," - boy, I want to be somewhere sunny and warm right now!
But only 3 minutes between these two posts. Snow here, but not as bad as they were predicting. At least from my observation.
It snowed at my parents' house all day Saturday, but there was little accumulation. The roads were essentially clear on Sunday. There were a couple of patches on the 2-lane I took to get to hwy 65, but after that it was clear. There was lots of water on the road in St. Robert, but they had a foot of snow.
Am I really the only person who caught Coach K's new ring? Or am I so out of it that I just noticed it? :o:rolleyes:
I followed your link. Cool that he got something.
Others are changing their AVs much more often than I am...
Hey all,
I moved into my new house Saturday. It rained all day, though let up a little as we were moving things into the house. I have a lot of unpacking and putting away still to do. Am at a partial loss as to how I'm going to set up my kitchen. Not a lot of storage space. :( Also, may have to have some shelving built in the bathroom as space is limited there too. The good thing is, I can do anything I want. :D:D
I'm so glad the weather was bad enough that work was closed yesterday. I caught up on a lot of sleep I had missed over the last few weeks. Am feeling renewed and refreshed. :D
Tilly
Welcome Back Tilly!
Glad to hear you got an extra long weekend to catchup. Don't know what your kitchen is like but maybe consider getting one of those hanging pot racks to free cabinet space. Besides, they look really cool. :P Send us pictures after chaos has settled.
Game is not on TV here tonight...why'd I move from NC?
I've been asking for 21 months...
ESPN 360 has a significant lag time. The radio station that was linked streamed the game - and aired lockerroom interviews and the Senior speeches. I heard Pocius and the beginning of McClure's talk then I got a phone call and missed the rest. I don't know if Greg talked last and I was on the phone or if he talked first and it wasn't aired.
I did wear my earrings today - and on Sunday. They will be in my ears for the game on Sunday and during the women's games for the ACC tournament.
Zoubek's nose may be broken. Wonder if they gave Henderson a flagrant technical foul for it and will suspend him for a game:rolleyes:.
"Hey Frank. Why didn't you answer my call? I know you've got caller ID."
"Bob, the fact that I've got caller ID is precisely why I didn't answer the call."
:D
Just chiming in to say hello to my LTE friends.
Hello friends.
Where the heck are Fish80 and Turk? I haven't seen them in this thread in a looooooong time. :(
Just got caught in the 60 second wait period.
Sorry Lavabe, that one doesn't fly, because we all know the meaning of life can be found here in the LTE.
