As a child, I would roll down hills in tires. Those were Goodyears.
Have a ticket to Sunday's game. Need a win on Friday!
I'm happy to report that The Drewsk has accepted a job offer!
He starts in July. The job is in Linthicum, Maryland so he'll be moving back to Maryland, this time the Baltimore area. (I know, not the best timing for announcing one is moving to Baltimore.)
T-Bone has an interview next week for a job in Nevada. That feels too far away but these archaeology field tech jobs are often short term. Arrow leaves for college 5 months from yesterday.
Congrats on Drewsk and his new job! Sounds like he'll be moving back to a familiar area? There's plenty of opportunity / life in that B-W zone. When you mention 'archaeology field tech jobs' all I think is the beginning of Jurassic Park but is T-Bone looking more at early / Native American archaeology or what's he after?
My mom cried every night my senior year thinking about me (her only child that she raised solo from the time I was 1, then with a step dad from 5 on) going to college, particularly since I was not staying local. Godspeed letting Arrow out in the world but it sounds like there are two solid examples to follow!
T-Bone wants to dig in the dirt. It's long, tedious work but he loves it. Yes, he hopes to eventually dig up pre-Columbian indigenous sites, but for now, he just wants to get experience. He suspects he will eventually want to go to grad school but not right away.
The Drewsk has a Master's degree from U of Maryland, so he was in the DC area for a couple of years.
I have 4 sons, The Drewsk, Paddies, T-Bone, and Arrow. Paddies is off to the UK to get a degree in business analytics in the fall. Right now he has a deposit down at the University of Manchester but he is still waiting to hear from University College of London and University of Edinburgh. Arrow is the last to attend college, he is going to Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts. It's about a 45 minute drive so, close enough to come home for a weekend when he absolutely needs a break but I'm hoping he won't want to do that very often. Mom is ready to try being an empty nester.
Once met a talking tree. Chopped it down anyway and said, “welp, you’ll dialogue”.
