Oldest review I could find:
From August West on 9/18/13:
"Beer tastings from the 9/14 tailgate. The beers were tasted in the following order.
1. Three Heads Brewing, Skunk. A Black IPA. 6.5% ABV and 75 IBU's. This was provided by Killer Left.
2. Southern Tier, Compass. Bottle conditioned sparking ale with rose hips. 9% ABV. No IBU's listed. Provided by AW.
3. Founders, Doom. Imperial IPA, from their Backstage series, bourbon barrel aged. 10% ABV. No IBU's listed. Provided by dpslaw/Tom.
All three were good and enjoyed by all. The Founders was rated #1 closely followed by the Southern Tier Compass. Three Heads Brewing's Skunk was # 3.
Thanks to all for their selections. AW."
Pure crazietalk.
From dpslaw on 6/21/17 meaning it was re-released:
"Everything about Doom is big, if not over the top. It is a bourbon barrel aged imperial IPA. ABV is 12.4. First you taste the malt. Lots of vanilla and caramel and bourbon, bourbon, bourbon! Then the massive hoppiness kicks in. Citrus and pepper. Surprisingly, not overly boozy. Almost too much. Almost."

Continuing to work through traders from Chicago, Ohio, RVA and the 336ers in no particular order except trying to pour the older ones first:o.
Husband is excited to keg this weekend. I'm not excited for the impending explosion of flat beer in the kitchen.
I did get to sniff a sample of the beer from the fermenter the other day. Smells like mango and pine :o
