Amusing when you're working/on-call and to have your only communication/call at 0314 in the form of a beer text.:o
From the 2021 Redneck Calendar today:
"You might be a redneck if...
...you've used a shaken beer as a fire extinguisher."
Nope.
So, the Black Oak Doppelbock I have been enjoying lately has usually been drunk from a fluted pilsner style glass. Today, though, I poured it into a tall wheat-beer glass. Wow; what a difference! Way more chocolate notes and way less “lager” breadiness. It turns almost sweet. I was blown away. Great stuff!
An IPA and a carnitas bowl. Ymm, Beer and mildly spicy food.

Turn about is fair play, I guess.
One beer release list was viewed earlier this evening from the 336 and it appears highly tasty. :D
I might be convinced to reveal a Dark Secret later:

Yea, LegoBatman certainly spurred me to investigate this a bit more with his post recently.
From the Ommegang website:
"Blurring the line between brewing and winemaking, our Co-Fermentation Project explores the enticing intersect of grapes and grain. Each release co-ferments a blend of traditionally-brewed wort and the juice of wine grapes, often followed by aging in oak wine barrels. The Project aspires to achieve a blend that surpasses the sum of its parts, surprising even the most discerning palates and expanding expectations of what beer can be."
I have acquired the remainder of the traders headed to NC this weekend! Good thing I had some plans for some different breweries lined up because The Veil sold out of their new Tastee immediately and also another one that I had been eyeing to pick up!
Never fear! The Answer to the Three Notch'd question has saved the day!
