Atlee HS, Peyton's team, is 20-1. My twin boys are classmates of hers. Good friend's daughter is on the travel team with Peyton. She should be a very good collegiate pitcher, let's see who she has around her.
Atlee has become a softball power in Virginia. One of my work colleagues has a daughter who played for them (she graduated last year). They've won the last two state championships and may be well on their way to a threepeat.Quote:

It seems like they've had good pitching (which is steps 1-3 of the 5 steps to building a championship high school softball team) for at least the last 15 years. Atlee defeated my high school team in the state championship game in 2002. It's a bit of a bummer that they are no longer in the same classification with most of the Northern Virginia schools since VA revamped their system 3 years ago. That's a good recruiting pipeline to establish for Duke softball.Quote:
