I had not realized until today that the two home and away pairings are in lieu of a conference tournament. Also, in addition to UNC, Notre Dame (rather than UVA) is the other home and away.

The season starts in two days! Denver and Utah get it rolling on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Eastern. If you’re willing to invest $9.95 in a one-month subscription to PioneerVision, you can see the game live.

USILA names Sowers and Giles-Harris to its preseason first team AA, goalie transfer Mike Adler makes the second team (pleasant surprise to me), seven others merit honorable mention status...
Denver hung on to beat Utah, 9-8. The Utes’ defense held the Pios to one goal in the first half, and killed 7 of 8 man-down situations on the afternoon. Denver took its first lead with :14 to go in the third, and built a three-goal cushion midway through the fourth before some questionable game-management decisions let Utah back in it.
How about some Sowers highlights to tide you over until Friday (still no word on whether ESPN will be carrying the game).

Good stuff. Thanks for posting.
He reminded me of an ultra-quick football wide receiver (like Stefon Diggs or Antonio Brown at his best) who is able to get open against any defender.
Sure enough, Sowers was a very good high school wide receiver and defensive back.

Do we know if everyone is healthy?
Haven’t heard of any major injuries, but then it would unusual to hear anything. Typically we find out by checking numbers on the bench during the first broadcast of the season.
I do remember hearing somewhere that Stephenson was active in the fall. Will be great to have him back.
You’ll see numbers 8 and 19 in the practice video embedded in the linked tweet.

Per Quint, Friday’s game will be on ACCN.
FWIW, there is currently no listing for College Lacrosse Friday 2/5 on the ACCN TV schedule
There is a listing for College Lacrosse Saturday 2/6 at 4:00 PM --- teams not specified

The first couple of plays I was thinking man that was just bad defense and then as the plays piled on I thought man he must just be just quick as hell!!! For highlights, most of the shots weren't overly fancy just great footwork to get an opening and a really good quick shot. Really fundamentally sound. Some amazing passes for assists also. He will be fun to watch this season (well the whole team actually).
I wonder with whom (grammar!) they'll pair Sowers, perhaps Robertson (the Princeton one)? Very interesting to see how Coach John sets his lineup...perhaps I'm wrong but I see at least seven solid candidates for lots of playing time at attack: two Robertsons, Sowers, Manown, O'Neill, Walsh and Williams...nary a slouch in that bunch. Might someone migrate to midfield?
I love to watch lacrosse but do not keep track of all of the roster moves that much. So thanks very much for the information in this thread.
I get the impression due to NCAA rules allowing for another year of eligibility and the transfers that the talent is most certainly coming to Duke. It also appears that some other schools are getting the top transfers.
My overall question then becomes...is the talent being concentrated at a few schools and would this make only some of the games competitive?
Or is the talent being evenly distributed?
Thanks
