Last Thursday, Angela Salvadores played in her first national level game since leaving Duke as her new team won the Supercup 93-80 over Ibaeta. Angela joins Avenida, which has a rich tradition of former Duke players and is Spain's powerhouse team based in Salamanca. Her teammates include ex-Middle Tennessee State player Chrissy Givens, ex-Drexel player Gabriela Marginean, ex-Texas A&M player Adaora Elonu, ex-UTEP player Kristine Vitola, ex-Miami player Laura Quevedo, ex-WNBA player Jelena Milovanovic, and ex-Rutgers player Erica Wheeler, who did not arrive in time for the game after having her WNBA season ended the night before. In this game, Angela had a relatively quiet 8 minutes. Milovanovic had 28 points, Elonu had 17 points and 11 rebounds, Givens had 14 points, and Marginean had 10 points.

On Monday, Daniel Ewing started his season with a new team, Maccabi Ashdod in Israel. His teammates include ex-Davidson player Jake Cohen, ex-Detroit player Chase Simon, ex-Murray State player Ed Daniel, ex-Bryant player Ben Altit, ex-Maine player Noam Laish, and ex-Florida player Nimrod Tishman. In this game, the team played Hapoel Gilboa Galil in the League Cup featuring teams from the top division before the start of the regular season, losing 92-69. Daniel had 8 points and 7 assists in 30 minutes before fouling out. Cohen had 16 points and 8 rebounds, Simon had 13 points, and Ed Daniel had 12 points and 10 rebounds. Her teammates include ex-Arizona player Ify Ibekwe, ex-Florida State player Leonor Rodriguez, ex-Robert Morris player Artemis Spanou, and ex-JC player Sofia da Silva. In this game, they held off Zaragoza 67-63. Haley had 7 points in 18 minutes as she just arrived after her WNBA season. Spanou had 26 points and 6 rebounds and Ibekwe had 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 steals. In the loss, ex-USC player Hailey Dunham had 19 points and 9 rebounds and rookie Alisia Jenkins from South Florida had 11 points.
