That may be a little much. The ACC tourney was nice but lets not get carried away with calling it one of the great runs in ACC history.

And where did the statement the pack is back come from? I didn't realise they had left, and in fact, the wolfpack under Sendak were successful by most standards other than those of the wolpack faithful.

Let's not let the charisma of El Cid compared to Herb the technician obscure the facts.

I would tend to agree. A very memorable run? Certainly. A great run? I'm not so sure.

The '07 Pack doesn't lack talent the way the '97 Pack did...just any real depth.

I'd argue that the greatest run in conference history was by Virginia in 1976. They finished second to last in the conference, and won the conference title by beating NC State (tied for 2nd in the conference), Maryland (also tied for second place) in the semis, and then regular season champ UNC in the finals.

The 6th seeded 1987 Pack also pulled off the 6-seed 3/2/1 combo.
