A strong case was made for why the ACC should get up to 8 teams in the NCAA tournament based on RPI, record against other conferences, etc. In retrospect, only one of the 7 from the ACC made it to the sweet 16. The teams were not as good against other conferences as we would have liked. No doubt, there will be an adjustment by the committee next year.
The Big Ten is another conference which has not done well with only Ohio State making the sweet 16, and they were essentially beaten except they were lucky.
