Can somebody explain to me what the "This Mean War" article on the home page has to do with Duke, Basketball, Duke Basketball, Duke Basketball Fans, or anything this board is associated with? I mean, it is interesting, but where is the relevance?

I'm not so sure about loud bagpipes (although I think they're really fun!), but I know more than a few of us love beer :D Could that be it?

Easy, big fellah. The DBR is allowed to go off-topic occasionally, too, when it interests them.

Well I'm a Duke fan and I'm Scottish. Does that help?

It goes back to Duke's first Scottish player, Ewen McHaggis. Story goes, he drove down Franklin Street playing The Bonnie Banks of Loch Lommond in the back of a pick-up, over and over again.

There was also that line monitor a few years ago that played the bagpipes before every game. What a weird guy.

Yet another Myers moment...

"Welcome to 'All Things Scottish.' Our motto is, 'If it's not Scottish, EEETS CRAAP!'"
