In his return from his ACL injury he played 25+ minutes and scored 19 points on 7-15shooting. He also had 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot. Only 2 turnovers, which is pretty good for someone who should be rusty.

Great to have the big guy back!

Great stats for his first game....especially in only 26 minutes.

Just to point out - I think Brand's injury was actually a torn Achilles tendon; which is usually (in this day and age with the surgery now done for ACLs) much harder to come back from. A great sign!

You are correct - it was his Achilles tendon and not his knee. My bad.

Hope he can play a LONG time in the league. I think that was Christian's injury and he was never the same after his return, IIRC.

You are correct; that was Christian's injury. Very hard to recover from - just ask Earljam, who tore his last year.

Oh jeez, from the title of the post I thought maybe he was back to finish his degree. Silly me!

How was his explosiveness and mobility?

Just gonna put it out there, take it for what it's worth, but I love Elton Brand.

Yea, but EJ NEVER returned to the hardwood, either. He just blew off rehab to become a notorious PW;) (just funnin' ya big guy)

Elton went for 15 and 9 in 27 minutes tonight. Nice to see him back.

The future could actually be bright for the Clips next season. Obviously health is a major factor. Brand will be back in full effect, Livingston is scheduled to be back, and Al Thornton has been playing great lately. The Clips should have a high draft pick coming which could present options at multiple positions.

I very much want to see Elton back in the playoffs.
