Is the Coach K reception thing serious?

If you read John Feinsteing's a March to Madness you will see this has become on of K's favorite parts of the job (aside from winning). He used to hate attending the FF if his team was not playing, but has grown to enjoy the experience/celebration.

If it is true, I'm glad K is keeping his word. I'm sure its done with good intentions and can help temper the bitterness and unreasonable hatred that can ruin competitive rivalries.

I have an in-law who is an assistant coach in Div One. He got me FF tickets.
I called and got one of the spots at the reception.

I will be wearing either a Duke sweatshirt or golf shirt depending on the weather.

I am very sorry that Duke is not there but am looking forward to a great FF with the 4 number 1 seeds. Rooting for UCLA.

You know, with the headlines for April Fool's, it was pretty amazing that only one was a joke:

a) King transferring
b) LSU considering Joe Alleva as an AD
c) K hosting a reception for UNC fans at the FF.

Had you asked me three days ago, I'd have laughed at all three.
