Anyone seen them live?

Been listening to some small town tunes lately in Chatham County Line, Cast Iron Filter, and Old Crow Medicine Show.

Heard one song by these guys the other day and thought it was great.

Love the Avett Bros.! Great energy, lyrics and just a lot of fun.

If you like the recordings you will certainly go bonkers over them live.

I saw them last fall at The Ark in Ann Arbor, MI. They are scheduled for a return visit on May 20 and I hope to see them again. They are high energy and really get the crowd into the music. In concert they mostly played songs from Emotionalism (their best album to date, in my view) and Mignonette. I can't get enough of The Weight of Lies and Shame. Terrific songs.

I've seen them live. My first high school roommate is a cousin of theirs. One of my ex-gf's best friends used to date one of them, and iirc is still friends with him.

They put on a great show. They used to play multiple instruments at once which made it even more impressive...The one guy would play guitar, stop a drum with his foot and also sing.

Cast Iron Filter - I think you're the only other person who has heard of them, This Ugly Town was in my rotation for about a year straight. I will have to check out those other two bands you named, as it seems you have good taste in music.

Go see the Avetts...you'll love the energy.
