What crack was I smoking when I picked Maryland for the Final Four!??!?!

Sigh-- where is the Terp team that took Duke to the woodshed twice this year?!?!?

Grrrrrrrr.

Just further proof that the transitive theory doesn't work. Duke destroys Davidson. Maryland twice beats Duke easily. Davidson somehow gives Maryland all they can handle (though their lead has not evaporated).

Maryland, more than any other team, has consistently doomed me in any bracket pool. I'm always so impressed with the way they play against Duke that I assume they'll play like that all the time, and they never fail to disappoint. Not that Davidson's bad (they're not), but Md. seems determined to let them hang around by making bad decisions.

Osby is playing with passion. His effort is keeping Maryland in the game.

Highly entertaining game. Davidson seems to not be throwing up as many 3's. I think they need to. When they were in that rhythm, it was a beautiful thing (so wasn't watching Gary rant and rave).

I'l say this, the Terps are at least putting out an effort at this point. They seemed to be sleepwalking for a while but have really been working lately. They own the boards and are running a ton.

Curry was the 36th rated PG in the class of 2006-- making him barely a top 250 recruit.

Methinks that recruiting ranking was a biiiiiit off.

I've got two brackets (and then my bracket where Duke wins it all). In one of them, Maryland goes to the Elite 8, in the other, they lose to Davidson, and thats entirely appropriate for them. There are two terp teams, and you never know which is gonna show up, unless of course they are playing Duke. . .

Maryland put 6 guys in double-figure-- not bad. They really did play with a ton of effort late in that game.

Win and advance baby...

Look, I love the kid, but backcourt playing time at Duke will not be at all easy to get the next couple years.

Now, if Stephen was 6-10, 240 then we'd be a nice fit ;)

curry was 2-9 with 5 points against us. henderson, zoubek, and scheyer had 10, 12, and 14 respectively. what could any of them done in the socon?

Dominate? I think that Zoubek would have dominated a lesser conference in a year or two as he gets stronger, but that Henderson's atheleticism at his size would allow him to dominate from day one. Scheyer would do well, but I feel that he'd have the smallest improvement by playing against lesser competition.

Ahh, but that was back when we used to play defense-- something we have forgotten lately.

If we ever remember it again, we can really make some noise in the tourney.

Maryland wins and advances with a team with one burger boy (Mike Jones), two freshmen, and a JUCO transfer.
