Who was the Man of the Match against Miami on 2/20?

If we had won, I would have had to vote for myself since I was praying so hard...

Jon. Who else?

Almost pulls a JWill three days after an abysmal WF.

Might be the easiest vote of the year - but especially impressive for him given how dismal his game against Wake was

Where would have been without Jon? I believe I saw his parents in the crowd -- too bad the loss rubs off some of the joy.

Maybe it's just to be contrary, but I voted for Lance. He was making plays and scoring against a better frontcourt while the game was still competitive early, essentially without any help (defensively or otherwise) from anyone else--Jon's run of points didn't come until after we were down 20.

Jon's the obvious choice, but I felt Zoubek deserves a little love too. That's the first time that I really believed that he will be a key player for this team.

Jon was great, but Jon's been great before. I had to go with Zoubek, as this was probably his best game at Duke.

I agree totally with you. I voted for Lance. He seemed to be the only one who came to play tonight. Jon shot lights out at the end. But up until the end he was awful, just like everyone else, turning the ball over left and right. Lance played hard and aggressive all night. He gets the nod.

You have got to be kidding.

I am not trying to take anything away from Scheyer, Jon played a great last 8 minutes of the game or so. But from start to finish, Lance is the only one who played like he wanted to win.

I'm going with CMS on this one. Jon's job is to score. He did his job. Lance's job has been to give 20 quality minutes and maybe score some. He exceeded expectations. Plus, the 'heart factor' accounts for more in a game like that than how many points one scores. Jon could have scored all of our points and we still would have lost. Lance and Z seemed like the only non-zombies for the first 32 minutes.

With that said, I am super happy for Jon. I think this game will give him much needed confidence down the stretch. He is our best player pound for pound. I wouldn't be surprised if he takes over from here on out. We all know he can do it.

Jon Scheyer was all over the place for the last 10-12 minutes. When he doesn't think and just does things, he can really score. His energy got us in the game and kept us there.

Lance and Zoubs deserve some credit, too. It was great to see both play well. As someone said earlier in the thread, this game showed some of the potential of Brian Zoubek. Hope he can stay healthy and keep it going.

Jon without question. But, Zuobs and LT had strong games.
