I would like to wish everyone and especially Coach K a Happy K Day as today is Coach K's birthday. He is 61 today.

Happy 61st birthday, Coach K, and happy 16th birthday to my son, Sam! I remember being in labor on February 12, 1992 and watching Duke beat Georgia Tech on the TV in my hospital room. Later that evening, Jimmy Valvano was one of the guests on the Johnny Carson show. A few minutes after midnight, I gave birth to Sam. His dad and I celebrated the fact that he was born on Coach K's birthday.

Seven weeks later, Sam made his first trip to Cameron Indoor Stadium to meet Coach K and to welcome the two-time NCAA champions back home.
