If you go back to the first week in December, you'll see that DeMarcus Nelson scored 11 and 10 points in back to back games against Davidson and Michigan.

Starting with the Albany game on Dec. 17, Nelson's has scored, in order:

23-14-23-13-20-7-24-10-27-18-21-13-??

Anybody else see a pattern?

I'd guess there's a good chance he scores 20-plus Saturday against BC.

great observation. I'll be CIS for the game on Saturday, my first one of the year since I live in San Francisco now, and am pumped! No let down!!

I'd hope he would save it for Maryland; BC will be a much easier game.

Remember, Maryland beat UNC at UNC.

20+ points from DeMarcus against BC would be very nice as we will need our team Captain to ensure there is no letdown after the big win at Carolina.

Keep in mind he does play better at Cameron. With the exception of the MD game, his numbers bear that out. At least from a pure scoring standpoint.

DeMarcus has gotten into foul trouble the last two games. I'm guessing that the coaching staff has already started breaking down yesterday's win to find what our guys did poorly (in order to learn from it) and what they did well. DeMarcus has played well with foul trouble (particularly the last 16 minutes plus with four yesterday), but it has limited his minutes. I think we'll see a concerted effort by DeMarcus to not pick up silly fouls against BC and going forward. He'll keep playing hard and playing great D - but he won't pick up as many silly fouls (I would bet).

Just thought I'd point out that D-Mark got 23 against BC to continue his remarkably consistent roller-coaster ride.

Now it's:

11-23-14-23-13-20-7-24-10-27-18-21-13-23 ...

This Wednesday night against Maryland would be a good time to break the streak and post back to back 20 point games for the first time in his career!

My memory may fail me here, but as far as I can remember, I don't recall reading posts of this ilk from you. While I guess that you probably won't hold DeMarcus to task if he breaks this pattern (with two under-20 games), at some point there is an iota of thought as to whether there may be some 'real' correlation - it's strange !

I don't know. 27-18-21 doesn't seem like much of a roller coaster to me.

i´ve been pointing this out for a while in the post-game threads. Glad to see you picked it up too.
