Today is really special. We had a great Football Signing Day and beat Carolina in a clean, but exciting game of basketball. How long has it been since we could celebrate both the same day?

And all you guys on this board are really special, too. The next drink's on you!
Merci, Jumbo!

Nothing like a good UNC arse-whoopin' to stir the flames of unconditional love on the DBR board.

Oh God! Oh my GOD! Oh YES! Hot Damn!

P.S. BURN IN HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL CAROLINA!

That reminds me Earl, meant to tell you I got hood winked at my new job in Mebane. We have so many hispanic workers I've been trying to learn a few Spanish phrases. I was told saying "bring over some more pallets" was (and no they didn't write it out for me to see what I was saying), "Azote mi culo y llámeme Consuella". Only after using the phrase several times and having all the Mexicans rolling on the floor laughing was I told it actually meant, "Spank my a** and call me Consuella"! The people in quality assurance from Puerto Rico found it especially funny.

. . . is being a UNC employee but a huge Duke fan, and walking in to the office on the morning after a big Duke win. You don't have to say anything, you just walk in casually wearing your understated white polo shirt that has Duke Basketball embroidered on it. And you bring donuts for everybody, then walk from office to office handing them out.

Yes, Allen, graciousness in victory is truly a delicious dish.
But a tiny bit of snickering would be good at lunchtime. Just a wee bit, or maybe a wide-eyed "sincere" concern about the 'holes upcoming game against Clemson.

I have the worst, best hangover ever.

Fell asleep on medications. Woke up late, stuck in traffic, and then pulled by the police. Courtesy warning!

MAN, I FEEL GREAT!!!

Ahhhh..... pinch me. Yep, it's reality.

Oh yeah, and that girl had white face paint on last night, but she didn't cry (fear of smudging the face paint). But deep inside, the girl was STILL crying!

That was sweet. Pure sweetness.

Dang... I even love Gary!

Thanks for the update on the cryer. Was wondering what happened to her last night. giggling like a friggin' school girl.

Am feeling all kinds of love this morning. Though I went to bed late last night, woke up with no problems this morning. Poor cats couldn't understand why I was loving all over them this morning.

I LOVE DUKE AND DBR!!!! WOO HOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Should I go with the DUKE sweatshirt or simply the 12 year old lucky hat today. I'm having trouble deciding. The sweatshirt doesn't fit to well but the hat is barely readable. I'm def not wearing any of my jerseys.

Maybe it's time to replenish your Duke attire. With the great play by the basketball team and the spring scrimmage for football on the horizon, maybe it's time to "recharge your blues"!

Sounds very similar (not identical :) ) to what Roberto Benigni said during his acceptance speech at the Academy awards (and this is for "the team").
The emotion is so true in the current context.

Is there a bad day to be a Blue Devil? Even on the worst days, it's better than being a lighter shade of blue.

9F!

But yeah... you're having a GREAT day! ENJOY!!!

I only wish a group of us could have been together last night, especially in the Dean Dome. Duke basketball is about a community, perhaps even a family. Last night was a very special time for all of us, to be remembered and cherished for years.

I will be on campus for the K Center's dedication tomorrow and for the BC game on Saturday. My soul is warmed by those events in the aftermath of the decisive UNC victory, by one of my "most favorite" Duke teams. Their selflessness, continuous improvement, teamwork, tenacity, poise, character, and athleticism are really quite extraordinary.

a. did you see TK's 2 shots last PM ?(the radio said he quickly looked at the bench after his 2nd ill-advised attempt which was about a 22 foot jumper-the bad thing is, he was about 25 feet from the rim) it also occurred rather early in the shot clock, IIRC.
b. my guess is that the match-ups were just not good for Dave last PM with the holes size.

This song has been running through my head: Sexual Healing by Marvin Gaye. That's what that game felt like to me. So sweeeet. Somehow it just seems to fit this thread.

Man, did I feel good today. Especially with the thought that our guys will build on this game big time -- they should now know what it takes to win every game they play and know they have it in them to win every game. As for 16-0, I won't go there, but man I'm tempted to start dreaming. It's been way to long since I had these feelings.

Ahhhhh.
