Moderators - please sticky this to the top of the board for a while!

I have gotten 3 PM's this week asking what 9F is. While I am happy to explain it, with all the new readers, lurkers and posters we have, I think an easier public notice is required. It is a code in the Handy Pocket Reference which is linked in the thread
Sticky: FAQ: Handy Pocket Reference, SnrubChat, Tips, and Spelling Guide.

Everyone should know what 9F is, especially this week!

Awesome, my PM to Ozzie has helped contribute to a potential stickied topic! I actually have GTHC, GTH posted outside my cube here at work (Wachovia) and I am loving explaining it to the VAST number of UNC fans that I have to deal with here on the daily. (It doesn't hurt that my boss is a huge Duke fan and actually dropped a "GTHC, GTH!" this morning during a floor meeting with about 100 employees there) :D

It just took me WAY too long to figure that out.
But once I did, I laughed. Super hard.

GTHC, GTH. <3

For newbies, throaty would be the esteemed author of HPR.

Getting meta, we need an entry in the HPR to cover Throaty's whining about the burden of owning the HPR.

That's what I thought. I could never figure it out. Now I have and I'm much more the wiser

Hey Ozzie...

A Duke themed License plate saying "9F9F9F" is available in Virginia. I can pick one up for ya the next time I stroll over to the DMV

Is this a "real" license plate or something they sell as a novelty for the front of the car? Or are you just joshing me?

Yeah, but that is a real plate and I don't live in Virginia and don't want to register my car there. So, thanks anyway!

It definitely has a smoothness to the message and symmetry. :)

14k, baby! We need to generalize it a bit more, though. How about "The HPR is unwieldy/tiresome/has outlived its usefulness."

14L. How does the HPR ever expect to keep up with all the new topics that are bound to come up?

14L corollary: When Greg Paulus graduates, will the entry about whether he will play football remain?

It's also available in North Carolina...

14M: One year into the new board system, isn't it about time we dropped the entries about codes, etc?

14N: How can Throaty claim to be an academic when he demonstrates no rigor in his presentation of research?

And if you don't know what BTTT means, you haven't been reading the DBR long enough! See hint below (using spoiler hiding technology from the OT board):

Before today's game someone asked me what 9F meant. So I'm "BTTT"ing the thread, since the mods never stickied it to the front page.
