"So this is the New Year
And I have no resolutions
No self-assigned penance
For problems with easy solutions”
–Death Cab for Cutie

How about ya'll?

My cousin saw Death Cab for Cutie in the Boston Garden a little while back...

As for resolutions, as always, none.

I resolve that there be 29 days in February this year, instead of the usual 28. Actually, I think resolve is too weak a word, actually I command it!

I just looked at my new calendar for 2008 and you have succeeded in getting a 29th day in February. You are amazing! Can I have the winning powerball numbers from you? ;)

And I command that the other 11 months have the same number of days as last year!

And I command that the other 11 months have the same number of days as last year!

But... that means that there will be an extra day in 2008. You can't do that! Surely, if you add a day to February, you must take away a day from another month. Perhaps you could take one from October, when we are waiting for Duke basketball to begin. This is madness... madness I tell you!

More mad?

I once had a calendar that showed 365 days. They were all in January.

1 through 55 and the Powerball is 1 through 42. You'll find 'em all in those groupings.

Now, as far as the specific groupings and timing, I'm still searching for those...

So this is the New Year;
I have shelter and a bed;
There's a fridge full of cold beer;
And I sit here well fed.

Beside me a telephone;
And a long list of friends;
All welcome in my home;
Until the bitter end.

For the past two years;
I have been in a rut;
But enough for the tears;
Got a feeling in my gut.

Right now I'm confessing;
And send a wish to you all;
From bad news to blessings;
Winter, spring, summer, fall.

All through 2008;
May the following be true;
May a wonderful fate;
Be in store for all of you.

Cheers everyone!

EJ,
You obviously don't have a hangover.
