Okay ... here's my dilemma:

I have all the Bond films on regular DVD, except for "Live and Let Die." NOW the whole set has been re-released on what is being termed the ULTIMATE edition. Is there any major difference between the pre-2007 editions and this 2007 ULTIMATE edition?

Has anyone seen the new ultimate edition? Is there anything new in it?
Cheers and thanks,

James and I are a little perplexed as well. Just kidding. I haven't heard from him since he left in the middle of the night a few years back.

I would think the Ultimate collection released in 2007 would have ALL the films including Casino Royale. But from what I'm finding the collection has all the films BUT Casino Royale. Which I watched last weekend and love even more now.

You can get the individual ULTIMATE EDITION films as well, and do not need to buy the whole series. I am just wondering if the extras are any different, and if there's something different about the format.

I am also beginning to like CR a little more, save for the many logical impossibilities of the so-called Madagascar scenes. I was in a bad movie theatre when I first saw CR (jammed, poor seats, incessant talking nearby, smell of cruddy food nearby, etc...), and it just ruined the experience.

I still think Daniel Craig was on steroids/HGH with some of the scenes.

I've bought a half dozen of the ultimate editions ... not sure about the earlier versions, but for me, the best thing about the new ones is that they all come with a pretty interesting commentary track.

Some people like commentaries, some don't. I do, but if that's not important to you, then don't bother with the ultimate editions -- otherwise, they are little more than a good, clean copy of the films.
