Duke defeated Indiana, 2-0, this afternoon in Bloomington. KayAnne Gummersell and Elisabeth Redmond had the goals.

Duke advances to play ... not Carolina, but Notre Dame. The Irish upended the Heels, 3-2. The winner of that game will face either Florida State or UConn in the national semifinals.

On the other side of the bracket, UCLA faces Portland and USC takes on West Virginia in the quarterfinals.

Huge development for Women's soccer and a good recruiting hook to finally advance farther than the Toolies. Congratulations WSc! Tis a pity however UNC's loss prevented a 4th round matchup. After yesterday's FB game Duke REALLY needs the opportunity to win back some Carlyle Cup points.

Duke's Robbie Church is a class act, and his program and players reflect that to the utmost degree.

The program had a rocky season in terms of wins and losses, but is more than compensating for it with a memorable postseason run.

After a down year in field hockey (comparatively, of course), we certainly needed the Director's Cup points, too.

Here's hoping the run continues.
