The prediction mirrors Sagarin, but I think we were favored last year as well. Last year was one of the worst Vegas upsets in college football history, but I remember one that was worse. :(

We can win this game if we put all three phases together.

I intended to start it this afternoon once I was home from work, very happy you beat me to it. Can the offense build on last Saturday’s 2nd half performance? If the answer is yes, I am optimistic we will win. If the answer is no, and the 3 and outs mount up, I am pessimistic we will win.

Syracuse plays a unique 3-3-5 defense that concerns me. They blitz from various places and try to confuse the offense. Our OL has struggled in recent years and this defense will be aligned in ways they’ve never seen. I know we like to establish tempo but this game might be a good one to slow down, play methodical, limit mistakes.

Question to my fellow DBR football fans: is Jalon Calhoun healthy? A couple reasons for my question. One, he took a couple heavy hits against Notre Dame. Two, he has been less involved in the offense than I expected.

It is certainly possible Calhoun and Brice are still working on developing chemistry but I have doubts Calhoun is healthy.

Good question Bob. Jalon may also may be adjusting to his new more prominent role in the offense. He has a target on his back that he didn't have last year.

I can now answer my own question. No Duke game on Youtube tv. Youtube tv, effective October 1, 2020 dropped all RSN channels including Fox Sports Carolinas. Damn!

During those days, I wandered into a Duke-UNC game and was astounded by Duke's offense. UNC clearly had bigger, better personnel, but the offensive playcalling befuddled their defense...hadn't been on campus for a few years at that point, wasn't up on the coaching and such. Spurrier was remarkable at keeping a defense off balance.
