OK Fans, let's hear 'em.

After our "stellar" performance tonight, I really think we will see Duke at an 8 seed, which will match us up with a tough team from a major conference, like a Michigan State or a Texas Tech. There will be no "warm-up" game inthe first round this time.
I say 8 seed, what about you guys?

Six. Our RPI and SOS is too high for us to end up much lower IMO.

I agree with 8 seed.

4-6 in the last 10 and looking like a very weak team will do that for you. I could see some sort of marquee 8/9 game like Duke-Arizona or something like that.

Yes, we've had a tough stretch as of late, but I think our strength of schedule gets us in the 6-7 range; I'm leaning towards a 7. If we get a 7 as opposed to an 8, I really think that gives us an edge, especially if we could get a team like Memphis as the 2. In any event, we are 14 in RPI (obviously will go down), and have the second most Top 50 wins in the nation with 9 (Carolina is first with 11). Our SOS is #2, and our only loss to a non-tournament team was State and potentially FSU. Our next worst loss is Ga tech (34 RPI). I think 6-7 is about right. I wouldn't be completely stunned to see us a 5, but I think that is being a bit too generous considering our current 3-game skid.

we should be a 6 with our rpi, top 50 wins and lack of bad wins (excluding tonight) but i think that we are going to get hit with the national duke backlash and get sent out west as an 8.

Hard for me to believe we'll be higher than an 8. Might squeeze out a 7, depending on how things fall, but I doubt it.

I think the 4-7 record to end the season cancels out our SOS and RPI.

Seven seed. Let's hope it's "Lucky 7" for Duke! I'm not counting on much from the Devils in the NCAAs this year, based on the second half of the season. Since Feb 1, we have lost 7 out of 11 games! I'm ready for this season to just be over...

Won't it be pretty exciting about this point, whatever our seed is? I mean seriously - if we are an 8 or a 9, we are going to fight tooth and nail for that win. And then we get the chance to do some real damage!!! Are you telling me you would like to be the 1 seed in our bracket??? Unless your name is Maryland, I don't think so!(Which, yes, I am aware is not going to happen.)

Seven or eight. Probably one game, maybe two, and out. Time to put this season out of its misery.

We are an 8. I am hoping to God that we don't get a repeat of 94, 99, or 05 where there's a Duke/MSU matchup. Hell on me and particularly those around me.

I think you should get a 6 or a 7, but I think you'll end up with a 5. A lot of it, however, depends on how teams with similar records/RPI fare in their conference tournament.

We will be either a 7 or an 8, because, assuming (big assumption) we win, CBS will want a Duke v 1 or 2 seed to be the marquee matchup for the weekend.

Sort of like 2000, when an underseeded Kansas (8th seed) gave us all we could handle in the 2nd round matchup.

I predict we will be a 7 seed. This give us an opportunity to turn the season around by winning twice the first weekend and knocking out a 2 seed (if that 2 seed beats the 15). :)
