The Duke University Archives in the Rubenstein Library has the Sports Information records you need but the library is closed at the present.

Here's one source -- the Duke Chronicle (https://library.duke.edu/digitalcollections/dukechronicle/) -- that's digitized and theoretically available on-line at Duke Libraries. It should have information about freshman basketball players, although not in statistical/tabular form.
