Who was Duke's Man of the Match in their win over Wofford tonight?

It was Baker because he needed this game and was absolutely on fire

It's almost like why Coach K never wins the ACC coach of the year, he's expected to be great. I expect Big Vern to be the best player on the floor now.

And K has never won AP national coach of the year. Think about that one.

Maybe he wins it this year with a 10 man rotation.

I'm the only one so far to vote for Goldwire? You guys do know how critical he was tonight without Tre, right? Ran the show like a vet, led keeping the clamps on Wofford's outside shooting... That is a lovely stroke Baker has, though, I will say that. Sweet...

Voted for Vernon with his inside game, rebounding, defense and improved FTs. Joey shot amazingly well but needs improvement in rebounding and defense. Close selection but Vernon got my vote.

Joey Baker, with honorable mentions to Vernon and Jordan. Andhttp://www.crazietalk.net/ourhouse/images/smilies/devil9f.gif to Matt (scoring) and Jack (rebounding) for their first halves.http://www.crazietalk.net/ourhouse/images/smilies/devil9f.gif

I voted for Goldwire for stepping into a bigger role, running the show, not missing a shot, and having five assists to zero turnovers.

But I wanted to give a shout out to Matthew Hurt because his buckets were the most timely: early in the first half, the offense was a little disjointed and Wofford was keeping pace. It was Hurt who came in and started hitting shots to give Duke some separation. As we've learned the hard way, the longer an underdog stays in the game, the more they grow in confidence. Hurt's scoring tamped that out--before Baker annihilated them in the second half. So he deserves some recognition for his timely contributions, even if, IMHO, Goldwire had the better overall game.

Jordan Goldwire earned my MOTM vote with his defense, five assists and zero turnovers. With Tre Jones unavailable, Goldwire stepping up was vital.

Runner-up: Vernon Carey with another double-double.

Honorable mention: Joey Baker with an awesome shooting display.

I voted for Baker, he had a fine game. But this was really a team win. I wasn't sure we could play that well on defense without Mr. Jones.

Went with Goldy because he filled some very large shoes admirably. Loved that touch pass to Hurt for the assist in the first half.

I voted for Goldwire. I mean who would have ever thought that he would lead the team in minutes played. He was a consummate stand-in for Jones...a smattering of scoring, some timely rebounding, defense, and just general floor leadership.

On offense, Jordan is doing things he couldn't do last year. Just when we need him badly, he is showing up big time. As noted by others, his stat line is darn near perfect. MOTM.
