If I want to put some serious money down on the upcoming Duke/Kansas game, do I have to go to Las Vegas or Atlantic City? Can some of these Indian casinos take that kind of bet? Guess that i need "Sports betting for dummies" Other than "Don't do it!", any friendly advice in the subject?

The casinos in Rhode Island take sports wagers in person. Their FAQS are non-specific about maximum bets.

I'm sure casinos in other states also take bets.

If you're talking pies, you're already there....

The only thing I will say is the Duke Kansas game this early in the season is a risky bet. Nobody knows what either of these teams will be yet. Regardless of the line, I would stay away.

With that said, I think most of the casinos will have a sports book, but I'm not sure how to find out the max bet.

Even the little gambling cruises out of Myrtle Beach have sports books.

Thanks for the link. The closest spot for me would be WV or Mississippi. Not close at all. Plus, even if I went there, can't guarantee that they would have NCAA betting, or the specific game I want, or on what terms. Probably faster to fly to Las Vegas where things are well-established. Really have no interest in dealing with a marginal operation. Seems overall like a bad idea at this time. Maybe next year.
