There is a game Thursday and Friday night this week so it is time to get this thread started:

Thursday October 10

Syracuse at N.C. State, 8 pm ESPN

Friday October 11

#20 Virginia at Miami, 8 pm ESPN

Saturday October 12

Florida State at #2 Clemson, 3:30 pm ABC
Rhode Island at Virginia Tech, 4 pm ACCN
Louisville at Wake Forest, 7:30 pm ACCN

A couple of comments: First, I'm shocked Miami is a 2.5 points favorite over Virginia. Next, does Florida State have a chance to pull of the upset on the road? Clemson has looked shaky. Trevor Lawrence with the sophomore slump going on while the defense is definitely missing those linemen lost to the NFL.

Virginia at Miami will kick off in less than 5 minutes. A Miami victory is the best result for Duke as Virginia is currently 2-0 in the ACC. A Virginia loss followed by a Duke victory tomorrow results in Virginia and Duke tied atop the Coastal Division standings.

Miami scores on the opening drive. 7-0.

7-3 Mia mi at the half. Cannes defense looking stout. Both teams look better than Duke, but what the hell do I know.

I am not that familiar with Virginia’s team, but preseason all-American cornerback Bryce Hall had a pretty gruesome injury tonight and was carted off the field. It was his lower left leg or ankle, and ESPN reported after halftime that he was on crutches outside the locker room with a cast on his leg. He’s projected as a first round pick in the 2020 draft. Really sad to see an injury like this.

So a win today would put us in a three-way tie for first with UVA and the CHeats, with games upcoming against both. Still a long ways to go but the cliche of "controlling your own destiny" certainly applies here.

Pitt only has one conference loss so we do not control our own destiny.

Except they can't beat the Cheats, and won't beat the Cheats. Book it.

Sigh, while being in the hunt for a division title is nice, I do think the constantly less than stellar Coastal champ is a problem for the conference. There have been 6 different champs in 6 years and all of them have lost in the conference championship. Without any credible competition to Clemson, we are only a notch above the Pac-12. And below if you consider overall depth of the conference.

Wild game in W-S, with Louisville up 28-7. wake scores a TD, and then on the ensuing series, the Louisville QB runs, gets a first down, but gets clobbered and flipped, loses the ball to WF, so the Deacs can get within 7 if the can get seven yards.

Wild game in W-S...

It's now 55-52 Louisville with 3:37 to play subject to further review.

If Wake hadn't missed so many free throws . . .

Hard to believe that there were 10 pints in that game.

I'm guessing there were probably way more than 10 pints during that game.

At that point, who would've thought the scoring was done....the way that fourth quarter went.

That's what happens when you miss a FG.
