View Full Version : The Next Manning - A Duke Recruit?

Twice this weekend I saw an article about Arch Manning, the Freshman son of Cooper Manning (eldest so of Archie Manning), who is apparently a very good looking quarterback. He is a Freshman, on the varsity, at his Dad's High School. He is 6'1" at this point, and threw for 3 Touchdowns in a scrimmage this weekend (and was impressive).

He will be going into college around the time when Coach Cutcliffe's present contract is ending. I presume that Coach Cut can coach as long as he wants.
Would he want to coach as long as there is a Manning to Coach?
Would Cooper want to send his son to Coach Cut, and Duke?
Would Arch want to come to Duke? (I assume he'd have some positive family advice in that direction)

Seems like a good potential match although a bit early.

If that works, I understand Peyton has a pair of 8YO colts, er sons.

I'd put a lot more question marks.

He's a rising freshman (https://thespun.com/college-football/3-favorites-named-for-peytons-mannings-nephew-qb-arch-manning), so if my math is correct, New York Giants fans should start their preparations for the 2027 NFL Draft.

Naw yo, the Colts are gonna draft Marvin Harrison Jr. in 2025/2026 and then snap up Arch to go with him...

Getting a Manning away from the SEC will probably be impossible.
