Wendell Carter Injury

Did not see this posted elsewhere on DBR. Thumb injury to Carter for which surgery is being recommended. Would take out basically the rest of the season for Wendell. Big loss to the Bulls, big bummer for the bug guy.

As an owner of Wendell Carter in fantasy, I gotta say, the updates for this injury were a wild roller coaster. First, it was reported he hurt his thumb and the Bulls feared it was a 4-6 week injury. Then, after an MRI apparently revealed no significant damage, he was listed as day-to-day, and Wendell himself said he would try to play after missing one game.

Then, he had some pain during a shoot around, and some further tests revealed some ligament damage, and now he's had surgery and is out for 8-12 weeks.

It's disappointing for sure. He was having a very good rookie season, but there's no reason to rush him back at all. It would not be surprising to see Wendell miss the rest of the season. Get well soon, big guy!
