Chris Simms was a guest this AM on "The Dan Patrick Show." He and Dan were discussing his college recruitment. Simms stated that the only he reason he decommitted from Tennessee was that Cutcliffe left for Ole Miss. Dan pressed him and asked, "so you're saying if Cutcliffe had stayed at TN, you would have enrolled there?"
Simms answered "absolutely." Love it.
He also shared that Mack Brown promised that Texas would switch from Reebok to Nike after Chris' freshman year. Chris wanted to play for a Nike school, but said he was willing to wear Adidas at TN just for the chance to be coached by Cutcliffe. LOL.
