I am adding a third poll today because the first two are just not all that competitive right now.

This Sweet 16 matchup pits our #7 seed, JJ Redick, against the #10 seed Tommy Amaker. It is a classic guard matchup of shooter versus playmaker -- offensive force versus defensive stopper.

While I have a ton of respect for Tommy, the coaching bit has left a somewhat bitter taste in my mouth. Of course, not enough to overwhelm an AMAZING career as an amazing Dukie, but still...

No title for JJ sucks, and I don't think he'll continue too much farther, but man I did love that kid. SUCH a competitor, and he developed so very much as a player.

J.J. was great, but my vote goes to Amaker. I'm really surprised by the margin here right now. Thought it would be much closer.

I'll never forget the face of Amaker as he realized Duke was going to lose to Louisville in '86. It was sad. Again, one of the bricks to the '86 foundation team that started it all may go down. Bummer.

I loved watching JJ shoot and admired his development, but I'd rather go out to dinner with Tommy. Further, he deserves some kudos for trying to make Harvard into the Duke of the north:

All my '86 boys are going down. Is JD the only one left?

This one was very tough. But I'm trying to balance favorite with better, so JJ gets it for me.

I love JJ with all my heart. In fact, it was the sister of my son-in-law who pushed him relentlessly to make Duke his home. BUT, Tommy Amaker was a true play-maker, and propelled Duke into the ranks of the elite. Hard choice, but, Tommy is the man.

Surprised that the poll is leaning so far in JJ's direction. BUT love ya JJ

This poll is all done.

Count me among the folks who were also surprised at the strength of the JJ vote. He likely faces Battier next, which will be extremely touhg, but JJ may surprise and give Shane some competition.
