Man what a dumpster fire that place has become. And it won't be long before, despite the enormous amount of cheating they STILL DO TO THIS DAY, the basketball team will start getting smoked on the hardwood in similar fashion to today on the gridiron. That day will come and it will be sooner than later. Since no one else has the where with all to punish them, God will have to step in and do it.

Oh, and their star freshman player on the hardwood this season could very well be PJ Hairston 2.0. Your program was exposed as 25+ years cheaters of the highest level, and of course you grab a kid immediately after he is dropped by Arizona due to Adidas paying him $150K to become a Wildcat...what could possibly be wrong with that? How could it possibly raise any eyebrows? Surely every school was anxious to get that kid to sign with them too!!

If you wrote a book on all the documented shenanigans since the infamous tweet that started it all, no one would believe it possible.

Au contraire, mi amigo.

Northwestern is now "the U."

Evidence?

Yesterday at the Duke-NU game, one cheer was half the stadium chanting "GO" when the cheerleaders held up the "GO" placard and the opposite side responding "U" when prompted with the "U" sign.

While I am obviously overjoyed at Scottie getting a much-needed win, and giddy over the humiliating loss by the Heels, it is tempered by the fact that Fedora will now actually be fired. I hate to lose him.

Over/under on when it happens? Their game 10 is against us and game 12 is against State. I’ll say that we are his last game.

The tie, no doubt, being the cancellation of this weekend’s game due to the hurricane and then being “too busy with school exams” to reschedule it.

gotta love unc's sense of timing..in the Spring of 2017 they give the man a contract extension thru 2022; he promptly goes 3-9 in 2017, now they are stuck with the guy unless they pony up $16 million to buy him out.

Meanwhile, for grins, check out his wikipedia entry before someone changes it..the last paragraph is a nice description of his unhinged comments about generals, football and decline of America due to new kickoff rules..

Thanks for the heads-up. Before it is changed:

In the summer of 2018, Fedora criticized the proposed changes to the kickoff rule in football. He stated that "Our game is under attack" and compared threats to football to American politics by expressing that he "fear[s] that the game will get pushed so far to one extreme that you won’t recognize it 10 years from now. And I do believe that if it gets to that point, our country goes down, too.” He then relayed a story where he purportedly asked a three-star general what makes America's military the "greatest" on earth. The general replied "That’s easy. We’re the only football-playing nation in the world." The Guardian called Fedora's statements "a masterful performance, mixing Trumpian denial of scientific fact with a folkloric evocation of football’s holy role as the guarantor of American greatness. In one short burst, Fedora became the sensation of the footballing off-season."[18] In the second game of the season the Tar Heels lost 43-19 to 121st-ranked East Carolina, beginning speculation that Fedora's tenure at Carolina was rapidly coming to an end.[19]

Ten years ago, maybe even 7 years ago, that would've been written about Duke not UNC. Amazing.

As for Fedora, David Glenn said today that instead of paying out 12 million to send him packing, and then spending a bundle on a new HC...that NC would probably offer to go hire a multi million dollar coordinator (like Clemson did for Dabo a couple times). FWIW....

Certainly with our resume, most teams not named Duke would be in top 25 or even top 20. We may need to beat VPI to get in unless lots of borderline top 25 teams lose next week.
