I like this poll better than the other one I made.

Vote once for the Eastern Conference, AND vote once for the Western Conference. Click two checkboxes total before submitting. (Cheaters will be easily caught!)

Then explain your logic in the thread.

Moving Acymetric's analysis over:


Lebron will single-handedly carry the Cavs for 2 of their 3 wins, but the Celtics will shock everyone and advance to the finals after a 7 game series. Warriors will take theirs 4-1.

The other thread will hopefully be locked.

Sorry about the "Celtics in 4 or 5" option. As anyone who has created a poll on this forum knows, the vBulletin software only allows 15 choices for poll voting. In this case, we needed 16 choices obviously to capture all the individual possibilities.

Also, for clarity, you are clicking on two checkboxes (one East, one West) and then submitting.

If you're a college fan who just can't get into the NBA, then vote in this poll. Afterwards, you'll have a rooting interest, i.e. rooting for yourself to be right!

Why do the DBR polls always close so quickly? I’ve never been able to vote in even one poll on DBR. By the time I see them they are always closed.

And Game 1 of Cavs/Celtics is at 3:30pm.

It makes sense to close the poll before the game starts, imo; I wish I had thought of the poll a couple days sooner is all.

I really think the Celtics are the far superiors team in this series but I just can't pick against Lebron... besides I got a pie bet on it.

As for the Warriors and Rockets... well the only way I see the Warriors lose if they wanna rest one night and take it easy or just play with the lineup.

Are you at all nervous about our pie bet? I was supremely confident for a loooong time, but have gone into major panic mode the past week. Playoff Lebron is a force of nature. I just hope Brad has an answer.

I wasn't nervous until this series. I was hoping they would face the Sixers. The Celtics defense is just so good that I'm worried they shut down Love and the shooters. LeBron could average 50 and they still lose this series.

Wow . . . I don't even remember voting in this poll. I'm actually kind of shocked I got them both right. If I had voted after game 1 of both series, it probably would have been Celtics in 6 and Warriors in 5 :D

This is why I'll never be a sports gambler. Futures change way too quickly based on short term results.

That said, I agree with Forrest on the finals. Warriors in 5.
