My wife and I both recently signed on for Medicare. We have a Kaiser Medicare Advantage plan also,
We are heading to Spain for 12 days in July. Any recommendations for health insurance coverage while traveling abroad? It's my understanding, and I could be wrong, that Medicare won't cover medical/hospital care in other countries.
Before Medicare, I used to travel extensively in Central America and would always buy a medical evacuation policy. My private health insurer covered medical care in Guatemala etc. but I knew that I didn't want any critical care there.
Any help/thoughts are greatly appreciated.
