Who was Duke's Man of the Match in their loss in the ACC Semis tonight?

Trent was not that good either. Never seemed to get a rebound on UNC missed shots. To sum up this was a game to forget. Duke almost got a W they did not deserve to win.

Teddy Valentine? Oh, wait, I was thinking this was for UNC's MVP....

GT played like an experienced player. He made plays and was not turning the ball over. Had our other guards done as well, we would have won.

I was really impressed with Carter. He seemed to contest everything inside and was strong inside offensively as well. That guy is really good.

Carter had some excellent defensive stops under the rim. But given how UNC shredded our zone over and over for ten foot jumpers, I am not sure that's the criteria we want to use for MOTM.

Trent played great.... in the last 5 minutes. Prior to that, not so much. Only one guy was effective throughout the game: Bagley. This despite our consistent inability to get him the ball.

I think that Duke is trying to get the other team to take 12-18 foot jumpers, ideally better contested. Unfortunately, UNC passed the ball really well and got a bunch of uncontested jumpers. I'm not sure that's Carter's fault.

His time to get Trevon when he turned his ankle was a bit too long in my book.

These polls are always tough after a loss. I went with Wendell Carter mainly because of defense. He had four blocks and a steal on top of 14 points and nine rebounds.

Runner-up: Gary Trent for his mid-range game and three steals.
