After losing his father back in November, our associate head coach, Jeff Capel, has now lost his grandfather, Felton Capel. He was 91 and a legend in Southern Pines.

Here's a story from the Pilot...

Sad news, but what a long and enriching life he led. It is obvious from reading that article that he had a positive impact on an untold number of people.

With the timing of the services, it would not be unthinkable that Coach Capel may not be on the bench Saturday night, but I sure hope he is there in Cameron.

Funeral services for Felton Capel will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the auditorium at Pinecrest High School, with a viewing from 2 to 3 p.m. A walk through will be held Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bostick Kendrick Funeral Home at 1300 W. Pennsylvania Ave. in Southern Pines.
