He played with it last night and didn't want to wear the mask. Tough guy - so maybe not completely over. But certainly partway there. ;)

Yep. He hit the opposing player so hard with his nose that they called a foul on him, too. Unbelievable stuff.

If I remember correctly, Bolden was hurt when a player in front of him hit him in the face with the back of his head.....and they called a foul against Bolden

K: Your ENT surgeon recommends you wear this mask to protect your nose.
MB: With all due respect Koach, I'm not wearing any mask.
K: Lebron wore one.
MB: Can I get one in Duke blue, too, please?

Another injury. It's the same olfactory song and dance.

I think it is highly appropriate that some of these comments have made me snort instead of just chuckle. Thank you all.

I filed a complaint to the refereeing office about that bad call, but I have heard nare a word. /obscure, grammatically incorrect doctor vocabulary pun

Thanks for the funny comments here. Marques has been beyond belief good about this injury. I can certainly understand why he chose to play without the protect. Remember Grant Hill with that Mask? LOL

But even more telling is that Marques played against Louisville on Wednesday (and had a really good game with 8 points and 5 rebounds), had surgery Thursday morning, and made it to an early Thursday afternoon class on time. That, my Blue Devil loving friends, is commitment with a capital C! To know that our players take their class responsibilities seriously is another gold star in the Duke blue sky.

Way to go, Marques! Go Devils!

So what you're saying is that Marques didn't get his nose all bent out of shape over this.* :)

*I can't believe that no one used this before in the thread.

FWIW, Bolden told the media after the Louisville game that he didn't want to wear a mask because he was already wearing braces and that was enough.
