What dunks do you remember that really stand out? I got a couple to start.
Robert Brickey dunking over Scott Williams. The sky walking Brickey took off from the free throw line and slammed it right in the much taller Williams face. (Note: Brickey was called for a charge, but it was beautiful to watch)

Grant Hill's one hand alley oop slam against Kansas in the 91 title game.

The dunks discussed were certainly memorable but the one that comes to my (old) mind first is this:

Kenny Dennard's reverse dunk in 1978 Regionals vs Villanova!
First ever reverse dunk on national TV!

Gerald Henderson dunk over Maryland right after Nolan Smith got a concussion on an illegal screen.

There is only one memorable dunk. All others pale by comparison.

SEND IT IN, JEROME!

But I swear I saw David Thompson make a layup with the entire ball above the square what he released it.

1. Banks on Sampson
2. Phil Henderson on Mourning
3. Dennard reverse
4. Grant from Hurley
5. No one remembers this one because it was so inconsequential, Brian Davis vs. Iowa in NCAA's

Non-Duke dunk - Nate McMillan at the end of the last game at Carmichael.

What dunks do you remember that really stand out?

As another poster pointed out, there are just too many to choose from, so I will go with some recent stuff that stands out a bit more in my mind -

Last year...during Duke's unimaginable ACC Tournament run, and specifically a (14 point?) come-back verses the cheats, somebody (Grayson?) threw up a half-court distance ally-oop to a Harry Giles who slammed it in right over Kennedy Meeks. I was alone in the dark on my computer and heard/made a noise come from myself that I have never heard before. It was between a yell and a confused/happy yelp. It was a good noise...and that feeling was another dose of magic from Duke basketball. What a great game/tournament for Duke basketball! ------ (It was the culmination of the season. A season shrouded by doubts and injuries...most notable was Harry Giles. To have a come back run, in a game like that, against that team, and the player to overcome all odds and slam the cap on the come back is Giles???? What a great moment!)

Runner Up - The Ally-Oop Double Dunk from Singler too the Plumlee brothers on Senior night at Cameron...again vs. the cheats.

Another Runner Up - Jabari Parker game winning dunk against UVA in 2014.

Another Runner Up - Tatum's 2nd half Dunk over Kennedy Meeks in Cameron...after that dunk I knew we'd be okay that game... ;)

Miles Plumlee’s alley-oop that was the exclamation on the shellacking of UNC at home in 2010. The shot from behind, where you see the dunk behind Kyle Singler, arms raised triumphantly, is an awesome piece of photography. Plus, I was there ;)

This is an awesome thread and brings back tons of exciting memories. I'm not sure if this one has been mentioned but Maggette's dunk against Fla. was pretty cool. He got a tech. for what he did afterwards and should have. I had the pleasure of being at that game. Good seats upper level, 1st row right behind the backboard but opposite end of dunk. I saw it coming so after the tech. there is a timeout and Maggette goes to the bench and sits as far away from Coach K as he can. I picked up my binoculars and watched as Coach K goes to Maggette and I swear I could read his lips as he told Cory "don't you ever do that again." Another interesting thing I saw that night was as the team went into the locker room Chris Burgess' dad met coach K right below where I was sitting talking to Coach K and although I heard nothing Mr. Burgess was pretty intense. I've often thought that maybe Burgess may have been in the process of confirming his transfer that night. Sorry for the long post.

I think that dunk happened in the ACC tournament. The one you might be thinking of was Nolan Smith throwing the allez-oop to Miles to finish out the 82-50 game in Cameron.

A random dunk I remember that I'm sure nobody else does was little-known and seldom-used walkon Todd Singleton getting some game action again an overmatched scrub circa 1998. He grabbed a rebound and took the ball coast to coast for a dunk. I always liked him because he was an electrical engineering major and I would occasionally spot him napping on the leather couches in Teer, as many of us engineers did after late nights in the computer lab. When he made that play I about lost it.

The story I heard is that before the game Elton made some kind of bet with him that he couldn't slap the top of the backboard.

Luv that dunk. Dennard had a dream about making a reverse dunk the night before the game.

One that hasn't been mentioned....

2015 national semifinal against Michigan State. Grayson Allen takes a baseline jumper, misses it long, follows his shot, and in one motion grabs the rebound, takes off, and throws it down.

Also....

Grant Hill had another one-handed alley-oop dunk off a pass from Hurley at Georgia Tech in 1992 that rivaled his dunk against Kansas in the 1991 title game for height and extension.

I would place Dawkins dunk in the Navy game. number three on my list. That dunk was awesome in the fact it was a reverse slam.

The Grant Hill insane reach back dunk and the power of Henderson's dunk against Maryland are my favorites. I did thoroughly enjoy the Plumlee dunk against UNC when we beat the tar out of em.

Hurley was out with a foot injury. Brian Davis threw the pass, as I remember. The dunk that I remember was amazing because the pass was behind Hill, so he had to reach back in midair and still was able to throw it down.

OK, I've got to weigh in on this one with my username.

The obvious (and two of the most exciting moments as a Duke fan): Grant Hill alley-oop vs Kansas; Henderson over Mourning

The not-obvious / random: Cherokee Parks reverse dunk in one of his first games as a freshman; Trevon Duval solo alley-oop, blue/white, 2017

Can't find a video of it, but does anyone else remember Tony Lang dunking on Iowa's 7-foot center Acie Earl in 1993? If I recall correctly, he also drew a foul and hit the free throw to complete the three-point play.

Another memorable Grant Hill dunk -- 1994 at Wake Forest, when he swooped down the lane and dunked on basically the entire Wake team, including then-freshman Tim Duncan. (Wake would go on to win the game, though -- this was during that stretch of 2-3 years when Randolph Childress pretty much owned Duke.)
