Jones is going to be seeing a lot of press attention this season with continued 300/100 performances like he put up against Northwestern. His mobility was key to Duke converting 3rd downs into 1st downs to sustain drives.

Just voted for him and love to see him getting well-earned recognition!

OTOH, maybe DBR could avoid posting front-page articles introducing the "bad news" that Daniel is going to have to think about going pro this year? We're barely a week removed from Labor Day, we'll see how this long season progresses, and an angry and talented team is about to visit Durham.

Gonna be tough for Jones to overtake Lamar Jackson, who threw for 393 yards and 3 TDs, and also ran for 132 yards and 3 TDs. No, that is not a typo.

Still, it is very nice to see Jones getting recognition.

Jones is terrific, but I'm far from convinced he'll be ready to leave Duke any time soon. He's very unlikely to be a running NFL QB (they usually don't last long), and like most college
QBs he isn't under center most of the time...he needs to demonstrate he can make all the necessary throws. I'm bullish on his prospects, but I don't see him being in a hurry to leave.
