In her final international appearance, Duke alum Sarah Bullard led the U.S. team to victory in the championship game of the 2017 FIL Women's World Cup with a hat trick in the 10-5 win over Canada. Bullard, who co-captained the U.S. alongside legendary goaltender Devon Wills, was a facilitator for most of tournament, but when needed she took over. Her two first-half goals helped the U.S. build a four-goal halftime lead, and when Canada threatened to get back in it with a 3-0 second-half run, she slammed the door with her third goal.

Bullard ends her career with four championship medals: U-19 in 2007 and senior in 2009, 2013, and 2017.

If there were rafters at Koskinen, her jersey would surely belong in them.
