Tremendous. I think he'll be an outstanding analyst. He's already shown intelligence and a great sense of humor.

Congrats David I think he will be outstanding.....I did not realize Wes Chesson was retiring along with Bob.

I do want to take this opportunity to Thank Wes who IMHO was 1 of the best radio analyst I have heard in college or pro football. He had great insight and knowledge of the game and I am glad both Wes and Bob have had some good teams to broadcast the last 8-9 years.

If you scroll to the bottom of the screen, this is listed as a Similar Thread: David Harding commits to Duke (http://forums.dukebasketballreport.com/forums/showthread.php?10760). It's from August 2008.

Curiously, the thread digresses into a discussion about grade point averages that are above 4.0. So glad DBR doesn't succumb to digressions anymore.

Dave didn't just stumble into this. This was his stated goal most of his playing career at Duke. He does the work.

Hear, hear. Astute, understated, humble -- pointing out match-ups that more voluble analysts never seem to see. Sort of like if there were a live microphone in the coaching boxes and fans got to hear coaches looking for mis-matches. Never once self-promoting or trying to sound "cool". Pure sport.

And it is well deserved. He has been very good promoting Duke Football. His work on the Spring Showcases for ESPN the past few years have been especially good. Congrats Dave.
