One of the most unheralded players on the women's team is Emily Waner. I don't think Coach G used her to her full potential and I hope Coach P will see her vast abilities.

GoDuke.com: How is practice going so far?
Emily Waner: I think it’s going well. Every time you start out the year it takes a little while to get rolling, but we’re starting to put the pieces together and I think we’re right where we should be.
GD: Is there anything specific that the team is working on right now at the start of the season?
EW: I’d say we’re in pretty good shape after the preseason; conditioning and getting stronger were the focuses there. I think we’re a lot stronger than we were before. We’re already seeing that pay off a little bit. Now it’s just combining the new strength we have with the mentality on the court.
