Through three quarters, Duke holds a seven-goal lead on the Greyhounds. Defense is having a day, and Fowler is locked in.

The guys look sharp today. Can't take our foot off the gas in the fourth quarter, though. With a guy like Pat Spencer on your team you can get things going very quickly.

Good guys get a great Top 10 win over #9-ranked Loyola, 15-7.
Great win for a young squad.

15-7 is your final score. Duke broke it open with a 5-0 second quarter, and never looked back. Fowler had 14 saves. Van Raaphorst was superb against Spencer, holding him to two goals and an assist. Giles-Harris dominated against Sirico, and Powley kept Dennis off the board until the final 30 seconds.
Five points each for Bruckner and Guterding, and a hat trick for Manown. Smith contributed a pair, including a big one in the second-quarter run.
Nicely done. Quick bounce-back for a Monday afternoon game against Jacksonville.

Who are these guys? Loyola is not chopped liver. Defense was really solid, passing great, face-off's superb. They looked so much like our championship teams. Go Duke!

That 2nd period was a thing of beauty. The team is rounding into form.

Guterding's goal-of-the-year candidate, on the play on which he drew two penalties, should have counted. He never lost possession.

Not exactly on subject, but Denver and #1 Notre Dame had an epic match yesterday (in Denver). Denver won on a goal in the final second (I don't think I've ever seen that happen) . Denver is now 2-1 against ACC teams at home this year, beating Duke and ND and losing to (inexplicably) Carolina (and that one wasn't really close).
